Let us address the lovely aspects first:

--Your moon conjuncts his Venus in Gemini, that indicates a high degree of emotional compatibility as you share a love of the same things.

Challenges:

I am more looking at the fact that you have a Saturn/Moon opposition, and the challenges this natal aspect can present throughout your life. Moon in Gemini is an easy-go-lucky moon, flirty, flighty, fun loving, and Saturn in Sagg interfers with those light hearted qualities.

I appreciate your insight! I thought we would have more positive aspects than negatives

Regarding my moon Saturn/Moon opposition, I had no idea about it, to be honest I think it affected me more when I was younger, I am in my late thirties now and especially since I passed my saturn return I am so much happier, I am very lucky and appreciate so much, and I am definitely a happy and positive person . I am not superficial thought, but I think my cancer sun and venus creates that deepness.
However I do believe I have always had challenges in my love life, and as I have gotten older I have learnt a lot about myself, and I believe I am learning a lot in this relationship/situation also.

Mmm I think the sun/ venus conjunction is in my 2nd house no? 2nd house is in cancer? and yes when we are together I do feel at home with him.

I believe the venus in gemini love at first sight is true, he is someone I have known for many many years from seeing him around and he has always always stared at me very intensely, and he is always saying how attracted he is to me. This is why in a way it feels fated as life has brought us together after such a long time., and I feel we are meant to be. Also we have insane sexual chemistry

This is supposed to be a particularly difficult combination because the Cancer sun desire for commitment is in direct conflict with the Gemini desire to be free and play the field. If he also has moon in Virgo this can add to his difficulties with commitment.

When I reconnected with my Cancer friend, my anxious attachment issues came up. I started chasing him which made him anxious and withdraw. I realized I needed to focus on healing my own issues and fears about relationships and give him space. Now that I have taken the pressure off of him he is starting to text and communicate more.
