There are some old threads from years ago on this placement, where some doomers were pretty adamant that c.Mars in the 12th is absolutely horrible and only bad can come from it. Is that still the general thinking around here?
And do natal charts matter?
For example, I have Sun/Moon/Venus/Mars/Mercury (chart ruler) in the 12th natal, with all those planets + Jupiter Trine Neptune. She has Mars (chart ruler) and Uranus in Pisces in the 12th, with Moon Square Neptune, Sun/Venus/Saturn Quincunx Neptune (part of a yod with Neptune as the apex), and Mercury Sesquiquadrate Neptune. So we are both very Neptunian.
Are 12th house composite planets easier to handle / more desirable for 12th House/Neptune people? And in this case, we both have Mars in the 12th, so the energy shouldn’t be totally unfamiliar. My thinking is we need proactively open and honest communication to prevent repressed anger/resentment and passive aggression. I’m hoping that our Love Stellium in the 3rd house will help with that, and that c.Mars Trine c.Moon will soften things.
I’ve seen some people say they run away from 12th house synastry. But in my case, I know I am strongly drawn towards these relationships.
In this case, she also puts her Sun/Venus/Jupiter in my 12th. And I love the way it feels.
Am I headed for disaster?
EDIT: Composite Mars is also the only planet that contains the “+ opp. house” notation on Astro.com, ostensibly because we have Mars Opposite Mars in the synastry. So I guess that means it could be read as c.Mars in the 6th house? We’re also Big Virgo/Big Mercury and Big Virgo/6th house people…
