I have a question about synastry. I’m looking at Saturn square Mars and Saturn square Venus in my (F30) connection with someone new (M27/28). Many sources say the Saturn person (me) may be restrictive, cold, or limiting to the Mars/Venus person, but that hasn’t felt true in our dynamic. I don’t feel I’ve stifled his feelings/or been cold.. so I am confused about how this synastry aspect shows. I do have Uranus opposite Venus in my natal chart so im wondering if this helps me with valuing freedom/disliking a restrictive dynamic?

How do these aspects usually play out in real relationships? Does Saturn square Mars or Venus always create toxicity, or can it be worked with? Are there other factors in our synastry that can balance or soften these squares?

I am thinking maybe it could show up in the bedroom, there (TMI) has been some physical intimacy positions I find tricky to engage in due to vaginismus. But otherwise we have a great physical intimacy, and are highly attracted to eachother/have fun in the bedroom.

Another potential challenge could come later when I introduce him to my family, they are highly religious and restrictive (neither of us are religious/conservative people), but in my culture we don’t introduce someone to family unless we’re engaged, so that won’t be for a long time.

Otherwise, things are going well. I would really appreciate hearing from people who have studied or experienced this. I have not had a lot of luck in love (doesnt help that Pluto is opposing my Venus/has been opposing my Venus for a while), so I would love any help to understand this. Issues with Saturn can take time to show up, because in astrology Saturn is the Lord of Time...
