I'm intrigued by horary, so I started reading about it. I tried asking a question and analyzing the chart. I'm just doing this just as an exercise. Simple Yes/ no question about having kids. I think the answer is no. Question is venus, which is 12th taurus. 2nd person would be mars in 6th libra. Moon is in 3rd cancer. No contact between mars and venus. And moon is square mars. Mars opposes uranus, which is also in 12th. Am I right? Also, would this only be valid for 3 months? Finally, if instead asking that q, I asked another yes/no question like are they going to get married or whatever...would the answer change or be the same? Thank you so much in advance! IP: Logged |

Okay, first off, there's a stricture in this chart. Saturn in the 7th house means that the astrologer's judgment of this chart may somewhat be blurry. Here's a few horary strictures, for which the chart should either not be read or the astrologer have some precaution when reading it: * Ascendant is less than 3 degrees rising * Ascendant is more than 27 degrees rising * Saturn in the 1st or 7th house * Moon is void of course * Moon is via combusta (15 degrees Libra to 15 degrees Scorpio) Personally, I don't think this chart should be read. But here's some insight to it (disregarding the stricture): The ascendant, Taurus, technically does not rule the subject in question. The ascendant ALWAYS represents the asker. Therefore, you are Venus in the 12th. Children is ruled by the 5th house, so technically, we look at the Sun as it rules Leo, which rules the 5th house. The Sun is in the first house, showing your interest in having children. Venus sits in the 12th house, which rules all things unknown, places of captivity, the subconscious, and dreams. This shows that you want children, but you don't know if you're actually going to have them or not. The Moon is domicile in Cancer, but it is in the third house. From what I know in horary timing, cadent houses (3rd, 6th, 9th, and 12th) mean that it will take a long time for whatever it is that you ask for to materialize. Sometimes, it may even denote uncertainty that things are going to happen. But in your case, since the Moon is domicile, I'm pretty sure you will have kids. I'm just not exactly sure when. And oh, I prefer not to use outer planets--Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto when judging a chart. These planets were discovered after horary was invented, so they technically don't mean that much in horary. You could use them to confirm the overall outcome, but not really as significators or anything like that. I hope this helps IP: Logged |

Thank you so much for your feedback! It does help! Didn't think of the 5th house, which I guess it's the main deal lol So when there's a stricture you just ask the question again on a different day? Also, if the question is not about me, but some third party, would they be the ascendant? Meaning if I'm reading for someone else. Thank you again!

When the Moon is void in horary, it means it's not aspecting any planet AT ALL. This is because this is the period when the Moon wanders off before entering the next sign. IP: Logged |
