Hi Whitewitch,

I really loved your horary reading and since I've been trying to learn myself, I was wondering if you could help me understand how you got your answers. I'm not questioning it, I truly just want to learn to read charts

I have a few questions:
1. I see myself as saturn in 9th and him sun in 4th as well as the marriage since they're both sun. Now, I thought there had to be an aspect between saturn and sun for a marriage to happen? We don't use venus for women instead of moon? Do we use uranus at all for aquarius (Uranus sextiles sun)?
2. Did you think I was far away because of saturn in 9th? I was shocked you knew that from looking at the chart btw lol
3. How did you determine the 2 years/months? You mentioned it's because of the sextile, but I couldn't figure out how. Also, how did you calculate the 5 weeks? I've been trying to find out more about timing, but I couldn't find much.
4. For the baby part, we don't count me as saturn at all?
5. Also, would mars play a role at all since saturn is in scorpio?

Sorry for so many questions, but I'm literally just starting out.

Thank you so much!

All right, I have you as the moon(co significator for women. And him as the sun(cosignificator for men) I definitely see you as loving him very much, and I think you are currently away from him due to work? Or your work specifically is adding a lot of strain on the relationship? He is at home, as sun is in the fourth house, waiting for you. Yes he loves you still, I do not see a break up, in fact a marriage in two months/years as sun and moon are sextile.
The last aspect moon makes is a trine to Uranus, so I think he is thinking about to propose, as he is in Gemini(sign of news)
This proposal will come unexpectedly in 5 weeks.

In terms of a child, it honestly couldn't be better!! Mercury is in the fifth(co-signifcator for children.

Think of it this way. You are in Leo(sun's ruler-ship) He is in Mercury(Baby's ruler-ship) and baby is in Cancer(moon's ruler-ship) I think you can expect to get pregnant soon after the wedding. All in all everything looks great for you two.

Please let me know if this resonated.

Hey, I would be happy to help you learn!! And F.Y.I, who helped me learn very well was DancingMaenad, she helped me through a difficult time in my life and read various horaries for me, this got me interested myself, and I began studying all I could.

Anyway, let me answer.

Ok, I didn't use you as Saturn in this case, I used you as Moon, as the moon can also rule women. You are in the sign of the sun(him: Leo) And he is in the fourth house(which Cancer naturally rules,) even though there is no aspect between you two, you are having what is known as mutual reception, when you two are in each others sign or house. For instance(taking this as an example) Mars in Libra(ruled by Venus) and Venus in Aries(ruled by Mars) So this could count as an aspect, make sense?

I went on a stretch here I admit, but
when I use house instead of sign I am almost always right.

So in conclusion he(Sun) in your house. You(Moon) in his sign.

Second question: Yes Saturn(as your first significator) told me you were far away, however, moon(co-significator) was in your sixth, so I suspected it had to do with a job? As the sixth house ruled every day life, job, health, daily tasks etc...

Mars(ruler of the ninth) and Moon were also in sextile, so I took this as a sign too.

Third question, I determined the 2 years because you(as the moon) are in a fixed sign and cadent house and are two degrees away from the sun.

The angular houses are the first, fourth, seventh, and tenth houses.

The succedent houses are the second, fifth, eighth, and eleventh houses

The cadent houses are the third, sixth, ninth, and 12th houses.

Now it also has to do with the sign of the zodiac which there are as well four of.

The cardinal signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn)

The fixed signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius

The mutable signs: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces

When determining time period this is the rule(though in my experience it can sometimes be stretched based on the astrologer's intuition)

when the querrent's significator is in an angular house, cardinal sign, time is in days. In an angular house, fixed sign time is in weeks. In an angular house, mutable sign, time is in months.

When the querrent's significator is in a succedent house, cardinal sign time is in weeks. In a succedent house, fixed sign time is in months. In a succedent house, mutable sign, time is in years.

When the querrents significator is in a cadent house, cardinal sign, time is in months. In a cadent house, fixed sign, time is in years(Where the moon was) In a cadent house, mutable sign, time is unknown.

I made the guess(now looking back I may be wrong on this) that he would propose in five weeks, since the last major aspect(last thing to expect before situation resolves)
is Moon making trine to Uranus. Uranus is residing in a succendant house and cardinal sign, so five weeks is what I estimated, though again, I could be wrong on this.

Fourth question, we count you as Saturn, but only for things that don't have a lot to do with the question. Let me explain, you asked about a relationship, well Saturn and sun were making no aspect or seeing each other by mutual reception, so I went with the moon, however, I still looked to Saturn to tell me some clues about what is going on in your life right now, but I didn't count Saturn as the ultimate deciding factor of your fate, like I did Moon, does this make sense to you?
Mars plays a small role, only in the effect that Mars and Moon are sextiling and Mars is ruling the ninth house, which Saturn(which gives me clues about your current situation resides) Does this make sense so far?

Also, I used as the moon, which is ruling the fifth house, so that is currently taken by you, but I used Mercury as the baby, since Mercury is the co-significator of children.

I hope this made sense, any follow up questions please let me know.

A lot of what we know about horary astrology comes from the Renaissance astrologer, William Lilly. Here is a great link on all questions you could possibly ask in horary. This is the one that really helped me get a grasp on astrology. It's in Renaissance language, so just to warn you, it will take a minute to get the hang of reading it, it did me anyway, but you well get used to it in time, just reread things lots of times.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! That's great info; it makes a lot more sense now. Thank you for taking the time to type all that. I'm going to print it out later so I can make reference to it.

I do have one last question: do you use other rulers at all or only traditional? For instance, you only use mars for scorpio or mars+pluto? I know some people use both, others only the traditional ones. I was wondering what's more accurate in your opinion. Also, does mars in 7th mean anything? Since saturn is in scorpio and 7th represents the other person.

I'm going to read that article too and take some notes, so I can try some more charts.

Thank you again! ;-)

You always use traditional rulers since Uranus, Pluto, and Neptune are slow moving and it takes them a long time to leave a sign. Although when your significator or any others make major aspect to an outer planet this is an important part of the reading and worth noting. Also, the last major aspect the moon makes, as it is the fastest moving planet, regardless if it is your significator will always show the end of the situation. Hope that helped.

I would guess Mars in the seventh house would indicate an aggression or restlessness on the part of the querrent's love interest(or enemy as the seventh house also ruled enemies.) Unless it is already a significator for someone.

OH! Mars is in fact in the seventh here, well, like I said, I guess this would indicate his restlessness to have you back...hehehehe.
