Last semifinal in the World Cup - Netherlands is up against Argentina. I am rooting for them (Netherlands).

Since we'll know the answer in a couple of hours, I think it would be a good opportunity for anyone who wants to fine tune their interpretation skills.

You can leave your prognosis based on the chart in this thread, after the game (or tomorrow, depending on free time) I will post mine too.

Omg, I'm sooooo excited for this game as well!

I'll give it a try

I know you asked if the Netherlands would win, but I'm kind of rooting for Argentina. So, I'm not sure if I should put Netherlands represented by the Ascendant. I'm going with the colours' system.

The Ascendant is in Libra (blue, white), and its' ruler, Venus, is in Gemini (yellow). It's Argentina!
The Descendant is in Aries (red, black), and its' ruler, Mars, is in Libra (blue, white). It's the Netherlands.

The angles are in cardinal signs, so everything will be decided within the 90 minutes (no extra time or penalties).

Even in detriment Mars seems to have the higher odds of winning because:
- 1st house
- Conj NN
- Conj Spica (23°40' Libra)

So, my prediction is that the Netherlands will win this games. bah

The chart is pretty much the same as yesterday's game! Except for the POF and Moon!

Everyone remember:

Moon's aspect to the POF or APOF is final!

Moon Conjunct, Trine or Sextile POF or APOF = ASC team win

Moon Oppose, Square POF or APOF = DSC team win.

So much for things happening quick!

Sven, so mysterious! You still don't wanna give out who the winner will be!

My internet died, Dancing!

It's a little hard to judge, the chart entered Aquarius as the ASC after 80 minutes, so Penalties are likely, but but still can't work out which team is which (asc/dsv) Holland in.Orange? Doesn't match any sign! Guessing Holland is the ASC?

Holland to win? NN in 10th strengthens the success of asc team! Also, ruler of 4th and ruler of 7th dispositor sre in 10th house, meaning Asc team dominate dsc team.

Holland win the shootout!

Exactly, study more!

I'm going to make a post about the 3rd place play-off between Brazil and Holland.

I'll add my analysis and the chart and You or anyone else can add their own input too!

I really don't get how Netherlands lost from this chart. I was sure they were DSC team because of Sun in the 7th and Argentina was mourning that day - it made sense for Cap ASC with Pluto conjunct and Sat in Scorpio!

It was clear from the chart (2nd one, I am discussing the event chart not the horary) that neither team will be at their best. Saturn peregrine, close to Via Combusta and Rx, while Moon was peregrine and in the 12th!

I suppose Saturn was better aspected (though most aspects were separating) than the Moon, who was applying for an opposition to Venus - the ruler of their end of the matter. Also succeedent trumps cadent. I like to keep things simple, so for now I will take this as an indicator of the outcome, the more I learn about sports astrology, the more I will build to the interpretation.

In the first chart, the horary, I only asked about Netherlands - the question is very important. So I will retain Venus for myself. I thought the team would be Mars and being trined by POF I thought for sure they would win, even though they didn't play at their best (detriment). But I guess I was wrong.. I will need to reexamine this chart with a cooler head sometime later.

If the Moon is the ruler of the 1st or 7th, you keep the moon as the flow of events and you take the Moon's Dispositor as the Ruler of the 1st or 7th! Seeing as we had a Cancer ASC, Moon in Capricorn. The Ruler of the 7th house is in fact the same ruler as the 1st, they are both ruled by Saturn Scorpio in retro!

Because of this, the dignities are very close (meaning a draw, typically) and therefore it must come down to something else!

It must be the NN + Mars in 10th house. If Argentina is the ASC, MC is their success and they had the ruler of the IC (success of DSC) in the 10th results in Argentina being in Control of Hollands success. Despite Mars conjunct NN, this all happen in the 10th house, meaning the game was going to be tight, ultimately in Argentina's hands to lose the game.

But they emerged victorious!

Dancing, i don't think you can use the Moon as the ruler of the 1st or 7th, because the moon controls the flow of events.
