I really need practice on the more literal interpretive meanings of the houses and signs (if that makes sense), like what non-symbolic more tangible things certain houses and signs relate to ex. 6th house relates to small pets, 5th house relates to children, etc etc.

Since Horary is dependent upon that knowledge, I think having a good Horary practice would really help someone who is a bit hesitant to provide more literal interpretations in their readings since that can be so useful!

Now I kind of wish I had chosen "where is my xyz" as opposed to the question I chose! lol - I'm not sure I want to see that person again!! hahah

Hi there
Yes, horary is very interesting! You did pretty well - I'll give my feedback to help you out. First you are right about the sigs - you are mercury and he is jupiter. You only use the traditional rulers in horary. So the outer planets do not count as sigs. Second, yes the ASC is a bit early but not that early. An early ASC would be one between 0-3 degrees of a sign. That's what would tell you the situation has yet to evolve. Same with a late ASC (later than 27 degrees) means you probably already know the answer to the question. IMO the moon is VOC in this chart. Why? Because the moon is in Sag which gives it no dignity. Dignities are very important in horary. If the moon was in cancer or Taurus (its ruler or exalted sign) it would have the energy to move into the next sign and PERFECT the conjunct with mars...key word being perfect the conjunction. But it is peregrine (meaning no dignity) so it will not perfect the conjunction. Therefore it is VOC. that means "nothing will come of the matter." Also, the moon is conjunct mars technically so this means the moon is conjunct a malific planet (saturn being one, mars being the other.). This usually indicates a negative outcome when the malific planet is not a main sig. You can see Jupiter also makes an applying trine to saturn (a malific.) Yes the moon can be used as your co-sig and we see it is making a trine to jupiter (him) but the trine is a seperating one, not applying. Applying aspects indicate future events, seperating aspects indicate past events. The seperating trine shows the relationship you had with him in the past. Hope this helps.
