Topic: Did I get it right - will I stay at home?

I am still on a learning curve when it comes to horary, but this part of astrology interests me a lot, so I decided to give it (another) try.My question was/is quite simple (at least I think/hope so…  – I asked: ‘’Will I spend New Year’s Eve at home?’’ Ok, here is how I am looking at chart (please, feel free to correct me).
1. I am ASC (Leo) – therefore I am Sun.
2. Question is a question of a 3rd House matters (short distance travel). (Or should I choose another house?)  Ruler of 3rd House (in Virgo) is Mercury.
3. Sun and Mercury are conjunct. Therefore I concluded that the answer is ‘Yes, I will stay at home’.  Did I get this right? Or should I look for any other aspect? Any other planet? Thank you for your input.

Wouldn't the conjunction mean you will travel?
I'm only learning horary, not an expert at all, but I think you shouldn't have an aspect between travels and you if you are to stay home

Actually given the fact that Sun and Merc are in your 5th house of fun I'd say you probably will go out. Also the aspect is separating and mercury combust from the sun can mean stress. So maybe there was a stressful situation that is behind you and now you can have fun? At this point I'm just guessing lol IP: Logged |

Hmm... that's interesting. How do you see that Merc and Sun are in separating aspect? And how do you that stressful situation is behind me (and not for example in the future, perhaps on 31 dec)? Thank you so much!!! IP: Logged |

Now that you mention it, you're asking about something in the future so maybe the separation between Merc & sun could indicate there could be an issue. I just learned that if an aspect is separating & it's in regards to a future event, it could mean it's already set to happen. The aspect between Merc & sun have an "s" next to it in the grid. If there was an "a" then it be applying. IP: Logged |

I think you'll be out of the house, but not any sort of trip. No packing involved. Mercury separates Sun. BUT, you're mutually receiving Jupiter by Ruler, Jupiter is in 1st and you're applying trine to it as 5th ruler. No luggage.
If Jupiter is a person, this relationship may be long term. "Will I stay home" should be answered by 4th house, and that's a "no". Even Venus is in 5th trying to party.
