I tried to post but it disappeared... not sure what happened...Anyway, I'll write it again...
Your aunt (mother's sister) should the 12th house. Her moveable possessions are then the 1st house. (The other aunt is likely the 3rd house, Venus, and the grandchild is likely the 8th house, Mars).
So both the aunt and the jewels are MercuryRx... and thus the jewels are the moon, a natural signifier of lost possessions, but could also be Venus. I prefer to use moon.
The moon is on the aunts cusp, which is why I think they are still with her. Mercury is Rx and as a signifier of lost items, that's usually a good sign that she will get them back.
Since I'm using moon as the jewels, which is in Virgo and in your aunts 12th/1st house, we should look in those locations. But, we might want to look in locations associated with Aquarius and the 5th house because that is where Mercury is... just in case. If we're really struggling to find them, perhaps we should look at 7th house and Pisces locations because of Venus...
Moon:

IF THE ARTICLE IS OUTDOORS:
It can be on or near a meadow, land that is level and fertile, gardens, and grazing land for domestic animals, garage that is rented, part of the yard where pets are kept, a doghouse, grain field, orchard, and storehouse.
Mutable In the house, or if outside, watery or marshy places, ditches, markets.
Angular Where it should be; in the home; where the querent spends a lot of time; in a visible place
Earth At/below ground level; close to the floor; near the earth; quarries; gardens; buried; near a bridge; near pavement, clay, cement; SOUTH
1st House:
Where they spend most of their time, on their body, at home, in the most used room, where the possessions are normally kept, near the entrance to the house, in a personal place. East.
12th house: (just in case, because it's on the cusp)
In the bedroom, under the bed, in places of confinement, secluded places or private spots, places for prayers, meditation, or sleep, in hidden, out of sight or mysterious places, with a secret enemy. East Southeast.
Mercury:
IF THE ARTICLE IS INDOORS:
It can be in or near a built-in device or equipment, a shelf or a closet that is not part of the house, near electrical appliances, radios, televisions, in a TV room with stereo equipment, near a telephone area, close to a meter panel or fuse box, close to a light in a room that has been remodeled or modernized, an additional room with modern furniture, part of the house that was in the original structure, in rooms upstairs, near a drafty window, planning or drafting room or a room with barely comfortable furniture.
IF THE ARTICLE IS OUTDOORS:
It can be in or near places recently dug up, uneven ground, in or next to a garage, places where you park your car, in or around an automobile, on land that has been changed from farming to residential, in a wooded area with trails.
Fixed Hidden areas, low places, in walls, near floors, flat land.
Succedent Not in its usual place, but not far away; harder to find; maybe out of doors, in a garage or outbuilding, or in the yard.
Air High places; upstairs, upper floors; on shelves; on the roof; near the ceiling; near windows. WEST
5th house:
In a recreation room, a place for hobbies, pleasure or amusement, a child's room, with a sweetheart, in a place of amusement. North Northwest.
The rule to go by for lost items is - use the house to figure out where to go, the sign to tell you where to go once you get there, and the element to tell you what height or level to look at once you get there.
Ok... hopefully that will be enough to find them... Let us know where they were found. I'm only used to looking for things for myself, not for others... so, I'm wondering if I've derived correctly.
