let me tell you a bit about the background. last night i met a guy my friend has been trying to fix me up with for almost a year. i have been saying no because i've had a very difficult year in terms of love and i have become rather cynical. also, i don't really like it when my friends try to fix me up with people they *think* i would like, because i don't believe anyone knows what kind of person i am into (my natal venus is in gemini, 12th house - i'm VERY selective). in my past, if i've been interested in someone, it has had to be ME making the first move if it's going to progress anywhere.

my other first meeting charts have been very vague, and only one of them led into a long-term relationship. this feels like a slap in my face, with the libra ac & venus conj dc. whoa. it's like the universe knows that my friend wanted to pair us together and so... i can't help but wonder. what do you folks think?

i'm hesitant because of the squares between sun and saturn, moon and venus, venus & mars sq pluto (ugh).. and the sun-neptune conjunction. i'm rather fond of uranus, even if it's a square - i like my freedom, thank you not sure how this would reflect in a relationship where the moon was sq uranus on the first meeting, though. also, for the life of me i can't suss out how moon conj mc could play out.

Bit of a problem though - moon has no applying ptolomeic aspects - so where is the future? The modern final aspect, however, is a trine with Chiron - so I think this could be a bit of a healing experience for you.

More reading is needed - I've only glanced - but it looks good...

oh yeah, the lack of applying (major) aspects. good point. perhaps it is a reflection of our current situation - that i feel like i need a break from love, to focus on myself (been struggling with the effects on chiron squaring my venus) and he kind of has someone else he's also interested in (and i feel too proud to chase after someone who's chasing after someone...), so the timing isn't exactly ideal right now. or perhaps the "ideal time" has passed. *shrugs* we'll see.
