Created this the other day, or at least started the process. Any comments?

Hmmm.... I understand it was an event, but I'm not clear what kind of event it was.

I started an improv group. It's growing like crazy. I just got propositioned to make use of an ice cream parlor's stage. Who could say no to that?

So, it started March 9, and I'm at 40 people now. 14 people are slated for my first class. I don't know if I've ever done anything that was this popular with complete strangers in my life. It's incredibly exciting to me...mostly because I have a lot of ideas where this can go. I recently learned how easy it is to make Muppet-style puppets. Jim Hensen's crew were heavily improvisational. Most improv shows opt for an adults-only audience. I would be very happy to do family improv. Also, being a musician, I'm ready to throw that into the mix. There's definitely one other musician signed up as well as a singer who's in a female barbershop quartet. Fun, right?

We're up to 47 members now. 26 are confirmed to be coming to the first meeting April 1st. I'm excited!

I'm wondering if the group will be represented by the 5th house of entertainment, the 9th house of higher education, the 6th house of your duties, or the 10th house of employment...

I do see that the moon doesn't really have any bad aspects (apart from squaring the MC - which I wonder if it might have something to do with actual performing as a group in public or for money?), so that's nice, and it's final aspect is a trine with Neptune in the 11th house. At the very least, I think it could lead to pleasant and creative friendships. The sun is also in the 11th of friendships. Pluto in the 9th, I think it suggests this can be good for education - transformative experience, delving more deeply into the subject.

The 12th house is a bit lit up with the South Node on the 12th cusp, as well as the minor stellium. Do you have any thoughts on that? I wouldn't be surprised if you use this activity as a healing experience of some sort.

Thanks for commenting on the astrology of it. I honestly put no effort into picking a good astrological time.

My Moon is at 29 Virgo, so it falls in the 5th of this chart. I like that the Moon of the chart is in the servant 6th. In improv everyone is intended to be a servant to whomever they are in a scene with. As Stephen Colbert says:

"Now there are very few rules to improvisation, but one of the things I was taught early on is that you are not the most important person in the scene. Everybody else is. And if they are the most important people in the scene, you will naturally pay attention to them and serve them. But the good news is you’re in the scene too. So hopefully to them you’re the most important person, and they will serve you. No one is leading, you’re all following the follower, serving the servant. You cannot win improv. And life is an improvisation. You have no idea what’s going to happen next and you are mostly just making things up as you go along." - Stephen Colbert

I do like the 11th placements. That's the house of groups and humanitarianism and cutting edge technology, so I think that bodes well. The 7th would have been a good house, too. That's where I have a stellium. The Saturn in the chart is conjunct my Neptune and Venus (and sextile my Moon and Pluto). Hopefully, it will act as glue for the group.

Yeah, I read the Pluto the same.

I like the stellium in Aries in the 12th. The Aries energy will hopefully give people great initiative. The 12th will hopefully impart some great creativity. I wouldn't be surprised if it's healing in some way as well. I named it the Temple of Improv, as I feel like improv is very much aligned with Buddhism. Improv as a practice does make people more comfortable with failing, with speaking in front of people, with speaking in general, and gives people good tools for building better relationships. It does all of this in the context of having fun playing around with others. It's pretty amazing. Personally, I think/feel that it could replace religion if people were to give up religion, because it provides a very similar community to a good church: the people are nice and trustworthy, and you are free to be yourself and explore different ideas.
