I have a rather silly question. So I know when trying to figure out time units, you always base it off of the fastest moving planet. But what about house placement? What I mean is say you're asking a 5th house question, your significator is in your 5th house which is succedant. BUT the 5th house is the quesited's 1st making it angular. Do I base MY placement off of where it is from my point of view or from the quesited's point of view? Am I making sense?

Basically what I'm asking is if I'm venus in Aries in my 5th it'd be weeks, but if I based it off of the quesited's 1st it'd be days. Which one do I use?

That's a good question, I generally use radical over turned. But, I can see that if his significator is much faster, there is a reason for calculating the timing of the turned chart. It might be worth calculating the time for both radical and turned and seeing what time unit turns up most frequently between the two. I have no idea if that would be valid though.

Timing is also something I'm working on improving. Here are some copy-pastes from another thread, if they help:

The moon carries the most weight, for as much as I understand. Beyond that, you calculate the main significators, giving more weight to the faster moving, but in the end, you can look at the three together and decide what time factors reoccur the most.

You should also be aware of stationary and Rx, as they affect the time it will take for the perfection in question.

The problem is that the more interested participant (who is represented by the significator) can speed up the perfection at will, and vice versa - so 'willingness' of the participants can affect timing. Interceptions, impedition, and other things may affect perfection. Reception might also play a role. Another thing to keep in mind, is if you have a 'limited' the time frame inherent in the question, then you have to adjust the time frames accordingly. It might also be worth considering the signs on the Axis Cross, given that if it is a Cardinal Cross, it is said to resolve the matter concerning the question quickly.

For TIMING in Horary:

Other measurements of time are:
Angular or Cardinal = Fast
Succedent or Mutable = Slower
Cadent of Fixed = Slowest

Faster times would be minutes, hours or days.
Slower times would be days, weeks or months.
Slowest times would be weeks, months or years.

Cardinal/Angular = hours or days
Cardinal/Succedent = days or weeks
Cardinal/Cadent = weeks or months

Mutable/Angular = days or weeks
Mutable/Succedent = weeks or months
Mutable/Cadent = months or years

Fixed/Angular = weeks or months
Fixed/Succedent = months or years
Fixed/Cadent = years or indefinite or unknown

*Check the moon primarily, as well as the aspecting main significators. The faster moving significator is dominant. The time frame should be shown through a repetition. But also, give weight to the faster moving over the slower moving.
