Well, I wanted to know about mutual reception/reception in general. On this horary chart I asked if I'll be in a long term relationship this year (I'm flat out getting a no - that's ok - idc about the answer right now haha!) what I want to know is how does "Mars" feel about Venus (Me)?

Mars in Taurus is in detriment. Venus in Taurus is exalted..so I have read I "receive" Mars because he's in my sign, but does that mean I really like Mars, but the feeling isn't mutual? Since Mars is in Taurus in detriment - does that mean Mars really doesn't like Venus, or is it me that doesn't like Mars?

As for how you feel about Mars when he's under YOUR rulership, yea you like him as you receive him positively. He's in triplicity/term/detriment. I think with detriment it means that they may not be good for you or that you like them but they disappoint you in some way. For him they can feel that they really like you a lot and will do anything for you as they are under your rulership (it's almost an over exaggerated like for the person).

Now I have also heard the debate that if a planet is under your rulership but also in their detriment it might mean they DO have an extreme dislike or hate for you. But I personally don't believe that.

You know I guess it could go the other way around too where while they are under your rulership they like you a lot, but in their detriment you may not be good for THEM. Know what I mean?

It's tricky he does have dignity in Taurus which makes him somewhat strong, but then the detriment ruins it. I honestly think it means that while there is a strong mutual attraction, you guys just aren't good for each other.
