There was a 4.0 earthquake here in Southern California about an hour ago at 4am and it got me wondering if a bigger quake was coming within 6 months. I asked the chart if there would be an earthquake of at least 6.0 magnitude in Southern California within the next 6 months. ALSO, there was an earthquake in Michigan yesterday and it was pretty big considering Michigan doesn't get quakes like we do in CA.

I read this post that said the 4th house rules land and weather conditions (like earthquakes) in astrology. Here's the link: http://www.moonvalleyastrologer.com/the-houses-in-mundane-astrology/

*The 4th house ruler is the Moon and oddly enough there was a Full Moon a few hours ago... I've heard Full Moons and eclipses trigger quakes. The Moon is also in it's fall which means it's weak. I am unsure if this means it's weak therefore too weak to produce a "yes" answer indicating a quake or if it's weak because there will be a quake.

*I have read that Mars and Saturn in conjunction also produces quakes. Right now Mars and Saturn are in opposition and will next make a conjunction aspect.

*Moon is disposed of by Mars, a planet related to blood and violence and South Node is in the Ascendant which is also not good.

I agree that 4th house should be used... but I'm wondering about turning the house.

If I would turn the house, I think I would use the 4th of land, and the turned 8th of natural disasters, so I would be looking at the radical 4th vs 11th (Moon vs SaturnRx)... Albeit super wide, in separate houses and signs, it is the next conjunction of the Moon.

The Moon's final aspect is an opposition with the Sun.

Obviously what stands out as well is the AC tight applying conjunct Uranus... Moon in Scorpio looks interesting too... plus it's in the house of endings for the turned chart.

Another thing that might be good to look at is the: (Calculations made from the chart)

Part of Catastrophe:
(there are 2 versions)
1. Pisces 22˚56
2. Virgo 2˚37

Part of Destruction:
- Aries 28˚52

Part of Tragedy:
-Scorpio 8˚02

Part of Damage:
- Capricorn 2˚03

I looked at the parts, but they are further than is recommended. Usually points of sensitivity are 1˚ orbs, and I think the closest of these was 3˚ for conjunctions...
(I guess you can use other aspects with parts but I treat them like fixed points, which is generally conjunctions only, from my understanding...)

Interesting on this subject:
https://wfoster2011.wordpress.com/2014/05/08/distribution-of-planets-for-346-global-earthquakes/

So, I guess fixed/cardinal is a bit of a trigger...

"Cardinal signs are signs of action. Therefore, it is not surprising that the Cardinal Mode was most prominent. The fixed mode has always been associated with earthquakes. As far back as “Raphael’s Mundane Astrology,” published in 1910; the fixed mode has been associated with earthquakes."

Ugh... I found quite a few more Arabic Parts directly related to the question... (added their locations on the chart)

QUAKE 1a = Mars + Pluto - Saturn [Cancer 6˚19]
QUAKE 1b = Mars + Saturn - Pluto [Aries 11˚27]
QUAKE 1c = Saturn + Pluto - Mars [Cancer 24˚39]
QUAKE 2a = Mars + Pluto - Uranus [Aquarius 21˚33]
QUAKE 2b = Mars + Uranus - Pluto [Leo 26˚21]
QUAKE 2c = Uranus + Pluto - Mars [Sagittarius 9˚33]
QUAKE 3a = MC + Saturn - Moon [Aquarius 8˚35]
QUAKE 3b = MC + Moon - Saturn [Sagittarius 12˚51]
QUAKE 3c = Moon + Saturn - MC [Virgo 27˚31]
QUAKE 4a = Asc + Pluto - Saturn [Gemini 0˚09]
QUAKE 4b = Asc + Saturn - Pluto [Pisces 5˚17]
QUAKE 4c = Saturn + Pluto - Asc [Virgo 0˚49]

I dunno if I can see this will happen, but there are definitely things in the chart that make me think it's completely possible... Needs another look...

True... I hope not for a long time, but just in the past few days there have been many 3 and 4.0 quakes :/

Well, I guess it's interesting as well because it's not a common type of question on this forum. And, the chart has some uniqueness and accented areas of interest.
