it depends on which house you're using, 7th if already consumated, 5th if it's still in the flirting, chasing, noticing each other stage no?

if so its mars and jupiter and they are making a minor applying quintile.

Why would you EVER use 5th house as an indicator in the questions of romance and relationships?

In traditional horary astrology the other person in these terms is always the lord of 7th.

7th house:

Significant others and partners of any kind.
Other person when you have trouble defining relationship - movie star, "that guy"
Doctors (your partner in health)- a doctor is 9th learned person
astrologer (rarely matters)
Business partner.
Thieves. Open enemies.
Opponents. Competitor.
Other party in a court case.
A prospective buyer.

Because the 5th house is about flirting and light hearted fun, before you marry / become the exclusive 7th house relationship.

5th house has more to do with romance/pleasure than 7th
7th is more about Union/opposition

But because the question is about Union, not romance, 7th is appropriate here

With moon in the 5th, I wouldn't be surprised if to find out the question was mal-phrased for its intent

I've never read that... hmmm.... And 5th is consistently working out in that way, which is why I use it for that... but I wonder if things were different in that era causing him to say that - because he would have used 12th for clandestine affairs... We live in the world of casual sex and flings... which were never public back then as much as I can tell.
