Yes, Pluto can add meaning but it is not used in traditional horary.

PLUTO indicates a complication and the Querent is vulnerable; likely to exposure or to be thrown into a position of isolation in some way.

ETA: but I am a little worried that someone else read it and will tell him because his 3rd house is ruled by the moon, and the moon has an applying square with Mars (your message). So, that's an unfortunate possibility I think.
