I am Jupiter and the future partner is Mercury. I'm in detriment and I think Mercury is a few degrees from being under the sun's beams. Neither of us have accidental or regular dignity and we aren't aspecting each other. My sig is a benefic and in the 7th, but since it's in detriment it does no good. I think it means I want a relationship but it won't happen in 6 months/by April. The moon is also void of course so that also leads to no.

*Early asc means things might change.

Depending on your preferance you can use 5th H for new relationships...it looks better than Moon (you) / Mercury separatingt, to have Moon (5H ruler) square Jupiter applying even if in a Square. Seems there will be some kind of obstacle since Saturn is close to the Moon in tbe 9th. Maybe they're in a professional position or they're far away, or insecure, have issues with depression...

But wouldn't the 5th house be for relationships that aren't long-term? I don't want a fling lol, I want the real thing ! If we did use the 5th I guess it could also mean they're busy with furthering their studies in grad school etc or maybe they're more interested in becoming spiritually connected than in having a relationship.

That's where I'm unsure and trying to find a happy medium. I've been all over the place with the way I read horary but ultimately it makes it tougher having so many options. Anyway, I've heard 5th house can represent true love because it's where your heart is (StormieGrace on YouTube, Alyssa Sharpe) but like you I've also heard it's for flings. The 7th, while yes it traditionally represents long-term relationships, doesn't represent true love. Considering you want a long-term one though then 7th would be more appropriate I guess?
