Because it's not completely clear to me, I would say that it's better to use the 7th house here. If you had been intimate and/or were on the edge of a relationship; I would be inclined to use 5th.

I think between now and the next 6 months, the answer to this question is no. However, the chart does show that you seem to be more interested in him because you are in his sign and his house. It might be that an aspect forms between the two significators at a later stage, but at present, you won't reconnect right now (I don't think).
