I'm not an astrologer nevertheless, I'm gonna give you my impressions. By looking at the table with the distribution of the planets by elements and modalities, I see there's a predominance of personal planets in fixed air, one personal in fixed water, one social in mutable water and another in mutable earth. So, I'd think there's a look of talk and some emotional expectation (fixed air and fixed water) going on and not much action and materialization happening (lack of fire and earth).

But, looking at the chart: you (the querent) are Mercury (AC ruler). Gemini speaks a lot, so I guess you're making promisses about traveling. He's Mars in Scorpio, probably keeping emotional expectations related to you traveling to see him. The Moon is right on the AC and opposite Saturn (9H ruler): you're emotionally excited but also worried about the trip not happening as planned. The Sun in detriment in the 9th shows there's a lack of power to make it happen. Mercury (you) is in Aquarius (fixed air) in the 8th (ruled by Saturn that is placed in the 6th): although you keep your idea on traveling, unexpected events will avoid you to travel, maybe something related to health/work (6th H matters) or even money difficulties (8th H matter). The trip ruler, Saturn is in Sagittarius (sign ruled by Jupiter) and Jupiter is in detriment in Virgo (sign ruled by Mercury, you in the chart). All that reinforces the idea that you won't have conditions to travel. Your Mercury and his Mars doesn't aspect each other, and also don't connect to Saturn (the trip ruler).

I'm not experienced with horary but if I had to hint, I'd say there's no trip happening.

Well, I guess you wouldn't easily know about your friend's emotional expectation on that matter. The chart represents the situation and Mars in Scorpio (representing him) is secretive. What we can't ignore is this placement is powerful cause Mars is in domicile and Scorpio is "frozen" water: the fact he doesn't let you know, doesn't mean he doesn't feel anything. Scorpio is very well known by exteriorizing coolness / coldness even if it's burning/boiling on the inside. Mercury (you) is placed in the 8th (original house of Mars), so there's a subtle link between you, and I'd say even if the trip doesn't happen immediately, your idea won't die and his expectations either, since both significators are in fixed signs. So never underestimate a Mars in Scorpio and keep in mind that your friend may express himself when least expected. I think the best representation of this placement is a volcano: you never know when it's going to decide to "spit fire", lol! In the regard to the question, I think there's no problem in repeating it after a while. I was researching about it and I saw several astrologers saying that usually if the first chart gives a clear answer, the next ones will only add information. But maybe you should try again later and ask about the trip for a period of time ahead the one you used in this chart.
