You mentioned you had strangers in mind when asking this question (guys you pass on the street) so I looked to the 7H first because that house is "other people" especially in horary. Even if it's the dude you saw at the grocery store and didn't talk to.

Neither Jupiter or Moon is aspecting Mercury, but that doesn't mean much to me since we're talking about people you don't know. It's just confirmed through there being no aspects.

Secondly what I thought was interesting was you as Moon in the 12th house, and their significator in your 2nd (their flipped 8th). Both secretive, shy houses. Mars, one of the staple significators for guys, is in Scorpio and in the 12th house. My impression was that they perceive you as shy or there is interest there but it isn't ever expressed. I also felt something about not being seen at all but that's a half-thought. Trying to still work out what that intuitively means...

Okay, so I looked at 5th too - Venus. Venus is in the 2nd house with Mercury... my gut says at your core you don't care what these insignificant people think of you (but you're curious, no harm in that) and that actually you are reevaluating and something about you is changing. That's most likely why Moon is in the 12th house and Pluto is in your first is something about your mindset and the way you think about love is revamping itself and going to be realized soon (once Moon hits 1st). Right now you may be feeling very intensely over a matter but I don't think other people see that just yet though they may feel like they need to prove their worth to you in some fashion. Not that you are arrogant but you're like "Hmm, are you someone I really want in my life?" and they sense that.
