So I may be way off here but I'm thinking this;
Moon is dignafied in Cancer (got to be a good thing?)
Although no aspect between Merc and Jupiter, however, Mars is collecting the light from both of us... We have a son who is an Aries... could this mean that yes he is committed because of our son?

Really making a stab in the dark here any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Mars may be collecting light, but it's separating and not applying.

Since Mercury and Jupiter don't aspect I would be inclined to say that he might not feel as strongly as you do; however, you are both in the same house (10th house), so that means there is at least some affinity.
