I had asked a horary question on another forum. And this girl told me that based on the horary chart. The guy I was asking about doesn't want to commit. Wouldn't this have more to do with the natal chart?

I guess it depends on what your question is. Is it about whether he likes you or will commit to you?

No, the question was whether or not I would have sexual relations with someone. And if the guy would contact me.

No. Here's an example: We know that we take the 7th house ruler NOT the 5th house ruler to signify a person that the querent is interested in romantically. I will show you a made up example chart I created just now because I think it's important to show people what you're talking about rather than just writing it out.

Example chart

- You're signified by the Sun since it rules the Leo 1st house. The guy you like is signified by Saturn because we use the traditional not modern rulers of signs in horary, and Saturn is the traditional ruler of Aquarius, which in this case is the sign on the 7th house cusp. Saturn (the guy) is in the 5th house which can mean he's just interested in having fun and nothing more. The sun (you) and saturn (him) are in an applying opposition meaning that you two won't become romantically involved because oppositions in horary signify hardship and strife. This chart I just made up could give an answer that is just like the answer you got with your horary chart about how the guy isn't interested in commitment. He is in the 5th house which means he likely just wants fun and not commitment at this time and also your significator the sun and his significator Saturn are in an applying opposition which signifies strife as I just said. The 5th house in horary is about sex but in natal astrology the 8th house is sex. With the 7th house ruler sitting in the 5th house in horary you could say that he might just want casual sex.

It is quite a bit to digest, but hopefully you get it now with my example horary chart ! Please feel free to ask me any other questions you might have. I'm always learning myself!

At SunAscendant I get that but I wasn't asking if the guy was into me romantically or if he wanted a serious relationship. I was asking whether or not he and I would meet up and have sexual relations. But the person stated that he wasn't interested in anything serious yet that's not what I was asking. They just kept saying it's a no. Then someone else stated that because he has Cap DSC in his natal chart. That he was the type who wanted something serious. So that's why I was confused. But the guy and I did in fact meet up though.

And then I ask at what point do you put real life before a horary chart? For example if know a guy and in real life he's telling you he loves you. And you pull a Horary chart and it says he doesn't. Are you going to believe him or the Horary chart?

What does a seperating conjunction mean? How many questions can you ask about the same person? And how long does the results of a horary chart last? I've read it was up to 6 months.

You should trust real-life, IMO. I see various kinds of interpretations on Horary so take it with a pinch of salt. E.g. I asked about whether my ex and I will patch back and the Horary has his significator in 5H. People told me we will patch back because we have an applying trine (and we did) but no one said he was only playing. Someone said it means I'm smitten with him... some said it means he still sees me as a romantic prospect. So you see.... all kinds of interpretations.

This is the same as Venus in Horary... some said it signifies another gal... some said it's my co-significator. I saw several Horaries that have Jupiter-Mercury as significators and Venus is always with Mercury in Pisces with Jupiter in Sag and they're also always in square aspect. How is it that people are churning out same Horary charts?? Makes me question the reliability sometimes...

As for separating aspect... from what I know is it means something that has passed... e.g. you just met/were together/just split, etc. Applying aspect is what's coming.
