i'm sincerely trying to get better at these and would love those who have more experience to add their ideas...cast a chart that is simple 'does he love me' question to focus on...and i wonder what can be gleaned from it using horary.so, does he love me? more interested in the methods used than the ultimate answers...thank you for helping to teach me <3

His signifactor in the 8th house means you’re quite obsessed with him. IP: Logged |

Feelings are determined by receptions. E.g. Mercury at 11 Leo is in Jupiter's Face. Mild liking.IP: Logged |

obsession is certainly part of it, but it's on both ends : ) very much sexual though...creative and performative certainly. almost entirely written and not experienced physically. IP: Logged |

Learn how to read the planetary dignities table - http://www.skyscript.co.uk/dig2.html . The numbers next to the signs are degrees. Jupiter is there under 11° Leo. As for receptions: Domicile: Strongest form of liking (or love if it's a r/s horary) Exaltation: Exaggerated good feelings like putting someone on a pedestal. Exaltation is like infatuation; feelings will fade. Triplicity: Warm liking but no grand passion (note whether it's a day or night chart) Term & Face: Minor interest (mild liking). Face being the weaker version. Detriment: Hatred/dislike Fall: Exaggerated feelings of loathe. This commonly appears when there's a misunderstanding, couples quarrel etc. I follow John Frawley's method when reading receptions so for me, Mercury at 11° Leo has very mild liking for Jupiter (Face). Those who follow William Lilly's method will read it the other way. IP: Logged |

What would you say are the main differences? I have to confess, this sample chart isn't likely valid, since I've asked the question before in a moment where the question was more relevant to me. This chart is then a rehashing, years later, but i find that kind of thing more useful to learn from, primarily because i'm more detached, but it's still something i can track and read...if that makes sense. Thanks for lending your skills, for some reason learning horary is difficult for me compared to all of the other forms of readings. Much gratitude : )) Will follow up with the link you sent for future efforts in horary...

In terms of receptions? Like I said, they're read the opposite way, so those using Lilly's method would say Jupiter has mild liking for Mercury. Not sure about all the other differences. You'll have to read up both and compare. IP: Logged |
