Wednesday morning 9/23/20 circa 8 AM in Tucson, Arizona my car wouldn't start. It's 4 years old, so is full of computerized systems. We pulled the battery, took it to two different testers, and they claimed it is perfectly fine (less than 3 months old). It seems like an electrical problem. Towed vehicle to shop, my mechanic is mystified. I did a horary chart at 11:20 AM 9/25/20. Any clues?

Starter motor does not turn at all when turning key. Dash lights, window motors, and moon roof all operate normally when not trying to start.

There has to be a short somewhere.

Any clue where the short could be in the horary chart? My mechanic thought either the alternator or starter could be the culprit. When turning the key to starter position, voltmeter shows a significant drop between the battery poles. Wires between the battery and those parts has not been disturbed. One of the warning lights points to a potential computer malfunction.

Update: there was a frayed wire between the malfunctioning neutral safety switch (so car only starts in park and neutral) and the starter motor. Astrologically Mars (starting) was retrograding over my 9H Aries Sun opposite Libra Mercury both square Capricorn Moon/Saturn (expensive hard-to-diagnose repair). All cardinal (initiating) signs.
