(That's how much I know about it).
On a "practical" level-- non astrological.
I had both shots.
My roommate did too.
The last time he got the regular flu shot, the injection site swelled up (like after a mean mosquito bite where the redness has spread around the area). Large red area. That happened with the Covids AND the flu shot he received last autumn.
.. I didn't get that reaction.
Both of us had heavily-sore upper arm area that comes on the next day after the shot. Feels like after you've had a workout (in the gym) of your arm.
.. I could still lift my arm with no-problem-- so there's no interference with movement (like raising your arm to shampoo your hair-- that's perfectly fine).
.. In my sleep -- when I rolled onto my side and laid on that arm, soreness woke me up. Rolled back the other way instead. That soreness only lasted one night.
The second shot for both of us brought some 'tiredness' for the next day or so. Take the day off work (if you can) just for pampering self.
.. My roommate SLEPT for SOLID 5 hour NAP during the day!!! He never goes lie down for naps.
.. I had to go to bed for extended naps also.
Nausea.. I experienced some nausea after both shots.
You could also experience some diarrhea in the morning. (No big deal.)
.. Eat light if that's a problem.
I can't really remember... but maybe I had some body-ache after the first shot. Goes away.
Hot shower and tylenol.
IF you DO get a reaction, then that's a Good sign.
Shows that your body 'recognizes' the Covid, and is FAST at work to block it.
If you've had the Covid, then get the shot-- same thing. Your body can recognize it, and puts out a fierce defense 'against' it.
Reaction? is Good. It's a sign that it works.
Roommate and I are older than 65yo.
It was highly recommended, as the most Deaths were happening to our age population.
I've heard that some people only had the light feeling at injection site, with NO other symptoms.
Getting the shot may bring peace of mind when you have to go out in public. You STILL have to mask, social distance, until the science-doctors release us.
.. I like the sense that I have 'protected' others, just by wearing the mask, etc.
The Covid-19 variants are still forming in communities of various areas (of USA). Of course, people flying from one region to another can BRING the infection 'with' them to the place they visit, and vice versa.
That's one of the reasons they want everyone vaccinated so we can slow those variants down! The less infection that's around, the fewer variants are formed.
I have friends who talked about a business couple who flew from 'their' area up north-USA, and came down to Florida's Disney attractions for a meeting. They did NOT have Covid when they came-- when they got back home, they were BOTH infected. {It's a cesspool of germs here! People act like Covid doesn't exist. The Hospitalizations are shooting UP now.}
Be Careful.

Happy Birthday in advance, SunAscendant (Apr 22)!!
(April 22 is also Earth Day! Nice )
Thank you for the info! I have heard that arm soreness is common. I guess that’s not so bad. My parents (who are in their 60’s like you) didn’t have any soreness or reaction to it at all, but my friends (late 20’s and early 30’s) did. Sometimes I do develop negative reactions to shots, so that is why I do worry. But I suppose since the majority of the population that have received the shot haven’t died (some have, but not many) that I should be fine. I haven’t had covid.
