Thanks for the experiment. What is father’s date of death? Also, attach your boyfriends natal chart, they’re read in unison, how the SR houses overlay.
....the charts are two different solar return years...
So you’re asking after which year (which SR chart) did his father pass? Then for the sake of the experiment you can’t share the TOD, but you could share what condition caused the father’s expiration, and you could share the month (the sun transiting through signs, as trigger, like a solar-return sundial).
The issue with how you programmed this experiment is one of the charts should of been fake. Unless his father died randomly, his illness/deterioration would be seen in both years, acclimating (transits). They’re both true charts.
[Solar] Sun in both charts is receiving aspect by Neptune and Pluto, it only becomes a question of which long transit, which crossing year did it end.
The main difference the solar return houses is 9th House Sun vs 11th House Sun, and transit Saturn’s latitude. I’m going to assume the actual death happened before his 9th House Solar Year, so after September 2018, the year represented by chart A, Scorpio Rising, Anaretic Moon (ruler of 9th) has exact aspect to Mars, 6H Uranus opposite Venus, ruler of 7th, in 12th. Pluto is in 3rd House, 8th from 9th. Chart B, the following year, is the consequence, after the fact of father’s death, more responsibility.
Also if his father had died before September 2018 (Chart A), you will need third, prior chart—the solar return year that started [September] 2017.
2018 was a life-changing year for many, the Summer eclipses were the longest exposure North America had seen in quite some time.
In traditional astrology, the 2nd and 7th Houses rule death of each derived house, and 12th from it, losses. Issue using this scheme, neither of these charts are his natal. There’s a Leo MC, Sun aspected by Saturn. Whereas bc am intuitively interpreting, in Chart B, most of those transgressions seemed to already happened (separating aspects), are being reconciled in conjunction to the native.
The best use I've gotten out of solar return charts is following the sun transit through the wheel making conjunctions to the variously placed planets throughout the year. For instance, I traveled abroad again when transit Sun traveled through my SR 9H (which is not my natal ninth house). And the Ascendent of the SR chart is most telling. This year, I have a full 8H SR, even Leo Rising, there have been no deaths near me. The last three years have been Sagittarius SR Ascendents, and I can admit in sort of perceptual comparison, am fairly self-centered this year.
