Venus is received by Mars bc it applies from Mar’s exaltation sign.
Mars idolizes (receives) Venus from its own position in the sign of Capricorn.
However Venus sees Mars as a person/in a place that is detrimental to it’s own nature

So me seeing potential in him means that I idolize him? To idolize a person means you put them on a pedestal and that's not what I do. Seeing a person's potential is a good thing it's not negative it's how we grow.

Venus (and Saturn -who are natural friends btw) do not like to be in Scorpio (who and where you represent, from the other planets opinion). Suffice to say, according to this horary, he’s not as keen on you as you are on him

Because the moon is in Pisces, he’s aware of this question, rather, that you want an emotional reaction from him - but the answer to the exact horary question is No, he’s not jealous whatsoever - void of course moon.
