jwhops, why are you letting these people call you jwop? i don't find it cute. Wop is a U.S. pejorative slur for people from Italy, i can add the "s" making you jwhops plural with all of the resepct in the world. however, jwop, i find offensive, unless you are ok with it, people who can't be bothered to address you properly.

unrequited love, huge waste of time, time is our most valuable commodity, so wasting it yearning for someone who doesn't return feelings...is well, nonsense.

personally i think a lot of unrequited love is due to the fact of someone not being ready for or wanting a real relationship, so to be in love with someone who is unavailable really fits the bill....same as falling in love with a married, gay or incapacitated man, prison, hospital, long distance emailationship....whatever. somewhat self delusional.

not trying to be cynical, just honest. i would look for badly aspected neptune, 12th house venus, or hard transits to either. sometimes we tell ourself that we don't want what we seek out, and we seek and find what we do for a reason. just my 2 cents.

Honestly, I think the unrequited love thing is due more to non-mutual attraction, non-compatible types, and differences in perceptions of the interactions between the two people.

Personally, I think synastry is activated by attraction and interaction. If one person is attracted to another, the synastry is activated for them but if the other person is not attracted the synastry is not activated for them. I'm sure we come across lots of people who have great synastry with us that aren't our types and that we aren't attracted to.

In the first chart, Red's Venus and Mars are in Blue's fifth house, which is supposedly an aspect that causes person Blue to view person Red as a romantic "ideal". The Red's Sun and Mercury and Uranus are in Blue's fifth as well, but I am not sure if that enhances the effect.

The second one has some Moon/Pluto double whammies going on, and I guess if your Moon is opposed by someone else's Pluto then you are going to be deeply emotionally drawn to that person. Not sure what the deal is with the Moon/Pluto trine, but I guess since the one who's Moon is trined by Pluto isn't feeling it as much as the person who's Moon is opposed Pluto, then it's probably not that strong of an aspect. Perhaps Pluto is more strongly felt in oppositions, squares and conjunctions?

"jwhops, why are you letting these people call you jwop?"...firecracker

Well firecracker, I didn't react because I didn't perceive Ami Anne to be...shall we say...wising off. Was I just being naive and unperceptive?

However, posting in Astrology has brought to the surface something that some of the longer standing members have dealt with before and which decided them to not engage in answering astrology questions.

In a nutshell, it's this:

Members ask astrology questions...sometimes complex questions and when the answer(s) come, there's no response or even acknowledgment the questioner(s) has/have read the information they requested.

It's like posting into a cyber vacuum.

I read somewhere that Venus square Uranus was an indicator
BUT that's not true
I know a couple they have Venus square Uranus DW and are doing just fine
One of them has Venus in Aquarius maybe that could be a reason they are still together ?

So what would Pluto get out of this "karmic" relationship after it's all said and done? Lol

Is it venus who experiences the unrequited love and why ?

I actually agree with this as well. Aside from the 'love house' activation theory, involving overlays and house-ruler synastry with the 5th, 7th, and 8th houses, and sometimes the secondary 5th, 7th, and 8th houses (One of my favorite astrological topics, in case anyone couldn't guess).

I think our charts give a pretty good idea of the type of synastry we'd like, and if someone can't fulfill this it may turn out to be a mismatch. My thoughts are that that the 5th, 7th, and 8th houses, along with certain other important parts of our chart, like the positions and aspects of Sun, Moon, Venus, and Mars, are very telling about the kind of synastry we prefer in general.

I've had this aspect with someone. I was pluto and yes at first i had the upper hand but once i fell in love venus was in complete controll of the relationship. Idk if thats because he had it natally though. Venus person broke it off with me and i wasn't able to let go.
I think pluto only has controll if pluto doesn't actually care about the venus person.

Most of the times unrequited love doesn`t show in a particular aspect, but in that which is NOT there. A lack of resonance.

I haven`t found Venus-Pluto-squares to be about unrequited love UNLESS there were some other testimonies of this.

I know this is pretty random and I could be totally wrong but I have this theory that it will show in the SR chart for that year... (SR personal planets/angles of the person who feels it more conjunct the other persons natal planets). Assuming of course this doesn't span out for years and they actually have some amount of contact

I've had unrequited experiences going both ways, and noticed that when it was me who didn't reciprocate the feelings, his solar return chart for that year had SR Mars conjunct my natal Mars exact, and SR Moon conjunct my natal Sun exact. When I was pining after my Aqua ex (he wanted someone else at the time but we ended up getting back together the next year) my SR ASC was conjunct his natal Moon, and SR Moon was conjunct his natal Venus. My SR chart for this year has MC exactly conjunct the Sun of the Cancer guy I used to obsess about all the time on this forum lol

So idk that's just been my experience but I'd be curious to know if anyone else has noticed anything similar??

Also I've noticed if planets in the progressed composite conjunct one persons natal planets, this can sometimes also show the timing of it being unrequited...

Yep, very good point. Noticed the same thing. It's fascinating. SR planets/angles falling on someone's natal placements. It's basically like they're tuned into that energy for a while (during the SR) and someone comes along and displays that energy fully (natally) and bam! There's a sort of feeling there... sometimes, haha.

I suppose, like you said, that the person with the SR placements conjuncting someone's natal placements would be more affected.

Yeah, if someone's natal or progressed placements conjunct the composite or progressed composite placements, they're usually quite affected by the relationship itself. This needs more investigation.

For me unrequited love happened when the person was very close to "my ideal partner", that is his sun was on my descendant, his mars on my moon and so on. Also, I agree, Neptune needs to be involved, because it is the planet of illusions.

With Pluto /Venus I notice more "bad" love versus unrequited one.
