Does 12th house aspect 1st house?According to vedic astrology, Ketu in 1st house aspected by jupiter gives good results I am also told that 12th house is part of 1st house according to vedic astrology. So does that mean if jupiter is in 12th house and ketu is in 1st house, Jupiter is aspecting 1st house? IP: Logged |

Sorry to comment and not really have an answer for you, but I think this is a great question.It makes sense for 12th to be part of 1st. If 12th is what's hidden and 1st is what's apparent, doesn't that make 12th kind of like a shadow (side)? I'm being simplistic to draw the best connection I can with my limited knowledge.. I vaguely remember an astrologer talking about how a Leo Asc with a 12th house Cancer Sun is a well placed Asc. The Sun is in 12, but for the Asc sign, its lord is in the house directly preceding it. Following this train of thought, an aspect is indicated. edit: I removed *this* comment because I'm not sure I'd be able to explain. IP: Logged |

never heard of 12th house aspecting or being part of 1st house, vedic astrology follows only 1 house system - whole sign system unlike western astrology placidus etc,
u must have heard of shripati house system which was influenced by western astrology- poryphory system but it is not part of jyotish- traditional vedic astrology and developed much later compared to traditional vedic teachingsplanets in the first house provide argala to the 12th house, argala means influence, the 2nd house to any house feeds the earlier house,
so ketu in first house will feed the 12th house, ketu being significator of 12th house ( moksha and spirituality ) will increase detachment of such a person in mundane activities and the person might appear easy going and demotivated, as u mentioned jupiter positioned in 12th house will add to the higher knowledge of such a person and interest in 12th house activities quote:
