Hiya everyone! So what is sarp dosh? I know it's a chart affliction (ugh so dislike that word) in which all planets except uranus (i guess pluto is excluded in vedic?) are on one side of the nodal axis. Am i right so far? Also what are the the mental, emotional, and physical effects of this affliction especially in a woman's life? How would it affect her marriage, children etc? Would the effects of sarp dosh supercede other negative aspects in a chart...meaning, how important is it in comparison to other negative aspects...is this one the worst? I know someone fairly well off with sarp dosh and am curious how it affects people and why such a big deal is made about it in vedic astrology. Thanks so much! IP: Logged |

its a relatively new topic in vedic astrology, its not written or referred to in the traditional books, its been hyped because of the name, the name sounds a bit scary and dreaded - kaal sarpa doshabut its not something to freak out about IP: Logged |

Um...well, not sure if i would discount it entirely because it's not mentioned in traditional books...all fields grow as new info flows in, and i don't think astrology is, or rather should be (?) an exception.I'm also unsure of the time frame you're referencing when you say it's a relatively new topic in vedic astrology. Sarp dosh has to have been known for at least 30 yrs because the woman i mentioned in my op (and/or her mother) were told roughly 30 yrs ago that she has the negativity. She's extended family of a friend. I understand about the hype...almost all vedic astrology interpretations seem to have an ominous ring, perhaps to further personal agendas of astrologers more than any relation with the truth...instilling fear is a good way to motivate/manipulate people into spending money as a way to handle the negativity. Not saying all astrologers are like this but a few bad apples... Thanks for the assurance, i'm not freaking out, just want to understand it. Do you know anything more about it, other than what is floating around on the internet? IP: Logged | |
