Has anyone (or is it not recommended) drawn a progression chart in Sidereal? I've been looking snd deeper and really wondered if this would pinpoint my evolution to date. Thanks for any guidance.IP: Logged |

I hope someone will answer - Not only am I giving this a push but I'm adding a secondary question here -- I've read Sidereal is the chart of 'Karma Completion'. Can anyone better describe the lens in which I should view this chart? I was thinking we collect more karma after our natal @birthtime and wondered if progression might be of any use - but mostly I want to completely comprehend how the Sidereal is meant to be perceived. Thank you for any help. IP: Logged |

Progressions is a western astrology concept, we do see many astrologers in the west using these hybrid techniques but I avoid doing this, I realized if you learn jyotish from the right guru/lineage/tradition you are able to delineate the traditional way, most westerners who try to learn jyotish online or do not have the right guru try these hybrid techniques as they aren’t able to comprehend the complex systems within jyotish which needs the guidance of a right guru Jyotish has its own methods of timings events, dashas and transits are the most commonly used ones Dashas are planetary periods covering our lifespan Dashas can be either planetary periods or sign periods, Most commonly used planetary dasha is vimshottari dasha , each of the 9 planets are given a fixed number of years in this system, all adding upto 120 years Narayan dasha is the most common sign based dasha, where each zodiac sign is given a period of 12 years, all adding upto 144 years Planets are like the furniture in your room, you can change them and decide which furniture you want according to your desire, so planets show the desire Signs are like the walls of your house, they are fixed and you cannot change the walls, you can change the painting on the wall or the position of your sofa/tv against the wall but not the wall, So signs show what exists, it shows the environment Planetary aspects show the desire which may or may not manifest, sign aspects show what exists and cannot be changed ( although mantras can help alleviate the negative effects or reduce the effect ) Planetary aspects ( graha drishti) All planets aspect the 7th house from it and planets therein Jupiter aspects 5/9 house from it and planets therein Saturn aspects 3/10 house from it and planets therein Mars aspects 4/8 house from it and planets thereinRashi drishti ( sign aspects ) All moveable signs aspect fixed signs except the one adjacent to it All fixed signs aspect moveable signs except the one adjacent to it All dual signs aspect each other Moreover all the planets placed in a particular sign will also aspect the other house/planets with rashi drishti Example- jupiter in aries, moon in leo Jupiter aspects the sign of leo and moon with rashi drishti ( sign aspect), Jupiter also aspects moon with graha drishti ( planetary aspect) Moon however has only rashi drishti on Jupiter, no graha drishti In this way we see the dynamics between 2 planets/significators in a chart, sometimes there can be desire but no manifestation, sometimes there is manifestation but no desire, sometimes the desire is one sided, sometimes mutual. anekksadh, My apologies for not checking back sooner. I don't visit the whole community as often as I do Astrology 2.0. Thank you for your reply, it is appreciated. I've been doing all kinds of things different than the seasoned astrologers. I wondered. I guess I'm an Astrologer "mixologist". IP: Logged |

Brain exerciser! What would be truly cool, is if you were to create a system, then turn it into a specific research project-- a long-term one. There might be schools in the UK who would be interested in working with you on something that seems to work? In the USA, you might enjoy David Cochran's work? I like the way you think. Creative. Would be good to see you really apply that to something you could get credit for? Write some research articles? Encouraging you! IP: Logged |

Mirage, Awe, now that would be amazing. I truly would love that. I wish- but unfortunately between my unusual persona and life commitments, it wouldn't work out. Really I'm surprised at my continuing interest in these celestial arts. I generally get so over saturated with my hyperfocus, it burns me out so much that I completely lose interest. (I may have Aspbergers). I've saved a fortune in therapy, learning more about myself in these charts (of course there's tons more I need to learn). Honestly I've burnt out on this studying a few times but returned. It might be I'm older, I don't know. In fact I'm in need of a bit of a hiatus soon. I need to throw my mind into another gear, life is dictating it now. Thank you so much for your encouragement and care. ⚘ IP: Logged |

Okay. For real!!!! I KNOWWWWW that is true, for myself also!!! And, You're WELCOME!!! It's GOOD to take a break from it when you need to. Even an extended break. You'll find that your brain works on synthesizing what you learned-- (without your being aware). In fact, I think the brain IS exercised well, learning to stretch and collate systems, and do extrapolations. This ability is transferable to other things in life. Take Excellent Care! IP: Logged |
