i'd look deeper since certain things can offset issues for example:

my fiancee and i are both manglik which cancels out the issue of being manglik (also we haven't married in the 14 years we've been together and late marriage supposedly helps counteract manglik placements)

i would see if there are things in your charts which offset certain issues or provide balance also all kinds of "remedies" are part of handling issues

also it boils down to individuals, people can have good guna milan scores and a marriage won't work or bad ones and still have lasting relationships etc compatibility and commitment are complex

your ex with ashlesha behaving differently than your current ashlesha bf probably also has to do with ascendant nakshatra and sun nakshatra + other personal placements

houses can change a lot and so do personal planets (particularly ascendant and sun nakshatra, but mercury, mars, and venus will also matter)

i would look for other compatibility factors and honestly just judge your relationship for what it is

my fiancee and i have had plenty of ups and downs; in spite of our good score (34) it hasn't been smooth sailing at many points so it's not like a good score equates with an easy relationship so keep that in mind

also ashlesha negative behaviors might turn up when you get to know him better, ashlesha isnt typically the most forthcoming about potential issues and can hide a lot (i have ashlesha mercury, my younger brother is an ashlesha moon, older brother has ashlesha mars, and my father is an ashlesha sun so i'm very familiar with the placement) then it'll surface the closer you get

that's honestly more typical of ashlesha than the issues being upfront from the beginning (and i mean a long time, once living together or once youre already married etc)

edit: btw try using a few different calculators i either made a mistake the first time around or one was faulty because almost every calculator ive used has given us 34 except one that gave us 26.5 so one of them doesn't work well or i ****** up one

also ith another match system we get a 6.5 out of 10 (because we both have pisces moons and i'm revati while she's uttara bhadrapada) which is still good but less so than our guna milan score, so keep in mind there's multiple measures with compatibility not just guna milan

water with fire emotionally can be hard, but in my experience air moons can be harder (but i also only have jupiter in an air sign whereas i have magha sun and purva ashada mars which could be why) because fire at least shows more feeling
