I've looked it up for others and this single placement is always shockingly on point for everyone. But for me... no, not even one aspect (well, prokerala had a few sentences I've never seen anywhere else that was amazingly on-point - but still, 80% was "no???", and that was only one source out of many).

Time comes from BC/BR and is correct (I first got into Astrology almost 15 years ago and never felt the [western] ASC or Placidus houses were off so). So why doesn't it work for me?

I'm aware I have Saturn in my Nakshatra, but really?? That's why the Nakshatra just isn't true? (Saturn restricts) - This is not a problem in Western, I still identify with Moon conj Neptune despite Saturn tightly conjuncting Neptune.

if i had to guess it's because 2 other planets are sitting in the same house as it, one of them being saturn also it's opposite its own ruler (jupiter which is also retrograde) and in the 8th house of death things can be diminished

generally nakshatra is on point though yeah, but in your case with multiple planets altering expression and it's opposite its natural ruler which is retrograde in your chart it's a lot harder to feel with that restrictive energy on top of it

also just looking again and it's hemmed, so there's a malefic on either side of it which further diminishes expression

and they're both the 2 closest planets to it (sure degrees matter less in vedic, but personally i think both systems have their merits and degrees do make a difference)

sandwiching anything between saturn and mars isn't going to result in much

vaultoftheheavens.com (Ernst Wilhelm) uses tropical zodiac. Try a sidereal chart. Then your moon falls into Jyeshta Pada 3 (I think).

Use astrosage.com instead. That's the most accurate website for free vedic astrology calculation in my opinion.

I have my moon in purva ashadha like you do and I have found that this is accurate for me. What's not accurate about this for you? Do you not tend to declare war on people? Have you ever found yourself saying "Well now you've started it, now it's a war between us!" The symbol for Purva Ashadha is the fan and the winnowing basket. Do those have any meaning for you? For me, the reason I identify with my Moon in Purva Ashadha is because it is known as the undefeated/unsubdued one meaning that no matter how hard you kick me I will keep rising again and again and will never ever give up.

Hi to both (or all). I am amhz, I made a new account because I forgot the old's password and email.

Kiki: vaultoftheheavens uses the tropical zodiac for -signs-, but uses sidereal for Nakshatras - so I'm still Purva Ashadha. Thank you for the reply, however.

SunAsc: Basically, I do not jive at all with the 'warring' motif cast on the Nakshatra. Almost every source mentions the Nakshatra is 'dominating', 'argumentative', and things like that. Whole charts need to be taken into account because contradictory elements exist, I was just viewing the Nakshatra as an overriding force - when it isn't. With Moon conjunct Venus, Mars (aggression, assertion) in Detriment/Libra, and Sun (Ego) in Debilitation/Libra - it makes sense I am not and never have been or will be a 'dominating' person.

Purva Ashada is 1320' - 26 40' Sagittarius sidereal, which is ~7 - 20 20' Capricorn tropical.
Don't know what nakshatras vaultoftheheavens calculates. But it's neither tropical nor sidereal.

The whole chart has to be taken into account ofcourse, but in emotional matters perhaps you are? Like most moon in dhanistha women I know are really into career and earning money.

Are you very libran in behavious coz damn that is quite a stellium, basically every personal planet and luminaries in it except mercury.

Edit: Ohh i misunderstood., sun, mars, mercury in libra.

Wouldn't you be a Sun in Virgo in Vedic ?

Kiki: I think I see our issue. The chart in the OP looks identical to the one I made after your mention, it even advertises VOH.com, but it has Sidereal Signs (Rasis). I don't remember where that chart came from. But here you can see this bit of a chart made just now using VOH.com that uses Tropical Signs+Sidereal Nakshatras like I said: http://i.imgur.com/9xBIslv.png
(What's strange is this says I'm Pada4, but every other source says Pada2. I identify absolutely with 2 over 4, so I'm not sure what's going on with VOH.com now.)

anony: The OP chart/etc was in Sidereal terms, so in Tropical I'm a Scorpio Sun and Mercury, and 29deg Libra Mars. I don't think I'm -Libran- per se, but I'm not the classical vengeful, tempestuous, angry, etc Scorpio type. Taurus ASC graces me with a calm/at peace-ness all the time, and Moon conjunct Neptune makes me not want to hurt a fly.

Anyhow, there's very little info on Padas, but maybe they [can?] make the Nakshatra radically different. This site says Pada2 makes for people who are "soft, kind", which is downright contradictory to being warring and dominating - the very aspect of this Nakshatra I didn't identify with ( http://www.rahasyavedicastrology.com/purva-ashadha-nakshatra-2nd-pada-characteristics/ ). So perhaps since I don't have 'aggressive' markers elsewhere in my chart, the Pada distinction is not drowned out in favor of the contradicted general cast of the whole Nakshatra (in other words: perhaps those identifying with their Nakshatras if they have a contradicting Pada, only do so because of chart factors elsewhere that are +Nakshatra -Pada).

hmm, have you tried these ones ?
http://www.barbarapijan.com/bpa/Nakshatra_radical/20purvashadha.htm
http://www.barbarapijan.com/bpa/Nakshatra_Chandra/20Purvashadha_Chandra.htm

I think this one is a much better site : http://www.prokerala.com/astrology/birth-chart/

Choose "Northern Style" as the option in the Chart Style. Rasi = Moon Chart, Lagna = ASC Chart, Navamsa = D9 Chart. (all of them are important)....thats what sheee saaays ~ ~ ~

Regardless, you can download this software : http://www.vedicastrologer.org/jh/ to see everything!! (lol) I'm starting to sound and type like a mod here Randall you should promote me!!!

I love the bp website! I've read the first link before but not the second - there's so much info on the site, it's hard/confusing to get to everywhere. I haven't read/re-read the entire pages yet, but I just want to point out that from what I skimmed, the warring cast is nowhere to be found - instead, it says the Nakshatra is "harmonizing" -- and to this I definitely relate.

The Nakshatra -can- make one "dogmatic" and unsympathetic because it is -principled-, but this is different from being aggressive i.e. "warring" and "dominating" which is how this Nakshatra is cast elsewhere. In the end, I think Mars is relevant to whether one is "dominating" i.e. extraverts their principles, or just doesn't so isn't warring and argumentative.

Thank you, as well, for the other links!

Its a nakshatra ruled by Venus, I don't quite get where the warring bit comes from, but ehh its apparent that i'm not a genius in this shjt I guess

Yeah BP site is the best one I've found so far, it is so vaaast that it dwarfs even some big western astrology sites in my humble opinion .

I hope I can help but first I need to know, are you specifically talking about your Moon Nakshatra?

If so, your Moon Nakshatra (Purvashadha) lord is Venus

And Purvashadha nakshatra is actually very good, it is one of the most sexual/sensual Nakshatras. Its ruled by water. Making it more emotional, as well as deepening.

The Pada of the Nakshatra will also change it to some degree. You are in Pada 2.

Also, what about the Nakshatra doesn't fit?
Not everything can be 100% accurate since you would have to consider aspects to your Moon and also any conjunctions which will change some details for you.

If you were to check your sidereal chart placements, I would suggest also looking into your Atmakaraka Nakshatra. That will also tell you so many more details about yourself, and perhaps may even fit better?
Atmakaraka is the planet that holds the highest degree in your chart (not including Rahu, Ketu or any outside planets).

My friend and I both have Nakshatra in Jyestha. It says we're very aggressive but I've always been bullied since young. It also says we'll be childless but my friend has 2 children. It also says we've to tread carefully with neighbours & relatives because they will poison us, but all the poisoning I've ever faced in my life are from friends & colleagues.
