There are "Special planet" placements to pay attention-to.
These include----

Jupiter Mars Saturn Rahu Ketu

With Mars... 4th and 8th.
Count forward from where-it-is and go 4 placements.
Same thing... count forward to the 8th House from itself.
Mars in aspect to anything in the 4th or 8th will give = full energy.

With Saturn... look at 3rd and 10th house placements from itself.

Remember, you always move in the FORWARD direction when you count. The sign/house where that planet/node is in counts as number "1".

With Jupiter... the 5th and 9th houses
from itself. Jupiter casts "trines".

With Rahu... like Jupiter, examine the 5th and 9th
house placements from itself.

With Ketu... same as Rahu-- anything there in 5th and 9th house that it "applies to".

I DEEPLY apologize for being in, and out.
My environment sounds (at home) continues to negatively batter my body EACH day, and sometimes can feel sooo sick in my body from it. (Nothing I can do about it. ..)

Sometimes I'll start a good post, then have to BACK out from posting it... arrrgh.

Frustrating is when I work hard to 'learn' something, THEN don't get the proper opportunity to put it into practice, I lose ground with what I learned. Almost like needing to start over.

So. I love all you here, and it's my wish to catch up to your levels! I see you growing. I'd love to ADD more to the convos.

A few months ago, I had thought to start some threads that could act as a Reference, or even an Index to materials....
but sheesh!!!

Environment (right now) feels as though I'm on a rocking freight train, barreling at highspeed on the tracks, swaying and bobbing and bumping.

So... hoping all is okay with everyone.

Sidereal positions ARE different from the tropical placements. It's hard for Western-Tropicals to adapt selves to the Sidereal. Print out some lists, download the software I've mentioned, and start getting your feet wet?

And yes, it takes a long time.
The number of tiny details to match-up and layer- then go-inside to thirdly extrapolate meanings can blow your mind!

With learning it, I scrape and crawl along, doing the best I can, in the circumstances I've got.

If you're looking for speed, buy a reading.
Buying a Reading will also TEACH you more about how to read and interpret. I haven't been able to afford a Vedic Reading, but I had a Western astrologer reading just-before I registered at LL. Best introduction I got into the studies.

If you're looking to learn quickly then Western (after a few or more years) will give you a faster handle on things. But don't just stay shallow. Really get INTO it. All the way.

Learn the Western system really well till you've got that nailed. Much of that info will 'transfer'. Pay attention to "Derivative" houses.

If you then decide to add Vedic, your brain will have been exercised in patterns and extrapolations.
