Hello everyone I've been watching some Joni Patry videos on youtube and I just learnt that if you have a debilitated planet in the rasi - if that planet turns exalted in the navamsha it cancels out and makes it good again. I have venus retrograde in Magha nakshatra 7 degrees away from sun in Magha and it's debilitated in Aries in the navamsha. I'm not sure exactly what condition my venus is in the Rasi. I know this is only one aspect I'm looking at too, but perhaps that's an indication of why I've gotten with toxic partners and had unstable relationships. What do y'all think? IP: Logged |

Firstly, Venus is debilitated in Virgo, not Aries. Secondly, you judge a planet's strength not just by sign, but also by the house it's sitting in and the aspects it receives from other planets, so if Mars/Saturn/Rahu/Sun are aspecting it, it will cause distress to the planet. If Jupiter/Venus/Moon/Mercury are aspecting it, it will improve the condition of the planet. quote: perhaps that's an indication of why I've gotten with toxic partners and had unstable relationships.
Not an expert in Vedic but based on what I've learned, this could be caused by your relationship planets all conjunct malefics. 1) Your 7th house ruler (Mercury) conjunct Rahu which causes ups & downs in relationship. 2) Your Venus in a dusthana house conjunct Sun, which is also your 6th Lord. This burns your relationship... but note that Jupiter is giving some help to Venus here. 3) Jupiter (which represents husband in a woman's chart) is conjunct Saturn. You can help yourself by recognising your relationship patterns, learn to read toxic traits and step away before you get involved. Sometimes it may be YOU who needs to change first. It usually gets better with age. IP: Logged |

Thanks! I actually meant detriment not debilitated LOL Also how can you tell which planets are aspecting each other? I thought there were some specific rules to planets aspecting each other in Vedic astrology - like some planets only aspect a certain number of houses away, some only aspect a planet if it’s in a particular direction (clockwise/anticlockwise), etcAlso relationship planets being aspected by malefics makes sense why id attract in negative partners. However Jupiter is more than 10 degrees away from Saturn, would that still be considered a conjunction? IP: Logged |

In Vedic, Venus is neutral in Aries. Planets aspect the whole house. It’s unlike tropical where orbs are important. The further the orb the lesser the influence but they are still associated because they sit in same house. You should read up on Vedic aspects as they’re different from Tropical. Good to do some reading and have some basic understanding. Planets aspect all planets and houses opposite of them. In addition, Jupiter/Rahu/ketu also form trines. Mars also forms 4th and 8th aspects counting to the left. Saturn forms 3rd and 10th aspects to the left. When counting the house, you should start with the house you’re counting from e.g. Saturn in 1st house aspects the 3rd, 7th and 10th house. Mars in 10th house aspects the 1st, 4th and 5th house.
