Hi SilverFeather It's true that you can know the degree and sign of your Vedic placements using a Sidereal Chart wheel... What you're asking for by taking a look at this wheel would not be Vedic astrology, but Sidereal Astrology.
The Vedic charts look like little squares (or diamonds) in a rectangular chart formation. Vedic Astrology uses multiple charts (Divisional) to compare with your main chart {rasi, Lagna} to form an answer to your question.
Each planet, in the various divisional charts, have strengths and weaknesses. Also, the Vedics break apart a person's life into phases and Time Periods, where certain planets dominate or types of areas are highlighted during those chunks of years. Called 'dasas'.
There are some dasa periods that may bring you closer to finding a partner.
{I'm a beginner at this. sorry.}

Congrats on your working towards achieving a PhD. Another 3 or 4 years to go? Which field?
Being in university {especially if you are taking full-time load each semester} is a full-time responsibility.
I was aware of how some people started feeling nervous that 'this is their last chance' to meet someone, to marry and have babies, as they approached ~2nd semester Junior year. It was like 'the pressure's ON'! .. And you need to think about applying to jobs, etc.
Once you get a job working in your career, wouldn't that be a chance to meet people who are active in the same field, making similar (or better) money?
