I'm a noob who watched a video which claimed that my wife would be described by my DK, which is Aries Sun in 9th House. My intuition suggested I look for a wife with Mars DK. Can you tell if Mars DK describes me by looking at my Rasi chart?

Your wife would be described by your 7L, planets in your 7H, Venus and Darakaraka.

If Sun is your Darakaraka, that means your partner should ideally have strong Sun placement in her natal or Sun will be her Atmakaraka.

Thanks Hikaru. My Vedic 7H cusp is 29Cap18, ruler is 12H Saturn 21Can44, no planets in 7H, my Venus in Taurus/10H, and my DK is Sun. No wonder I'm attracted to Leos! My Atmakaraka is Mars; that matches my intuition to look for a partner with Mars DK. A Vedic source suggested looking for a partner whose DK = my AK, and whose AK = my DK. Very hard to find.

7th House ruler in 12th House: spouse of foreign origin or from a different culture. Spouse is spiritual, philosophical, creative, imaginative, working away from the rat race in a hospital, research lab, religious center, etc.

I've been playing with Four Pillar match programs, and the strongest match I've found using 3 pillars (day, month, year) is an 8/10. I like 8/14/2000 using Western/Vedic combo, but she's 'only' a 5/10. Author says 'Perfect' is 4-8.
