Hi <3Can any experienced Vedic astrologers explain how to calculate Tara Kuta? I'm referencing the linked instruction: http://cafeastrology.com/faqvedicastrologycompatibilityreport.html#:~:text=The%20technique%20that%20is%20used%20to%20determine%20whether,sign%20positions%20of%20the%20Moons%20of%2 0the%20couple. For example, if a female is Revati, and a male is Rohini, we count 4 Nakshatras from Revati to Rohini, then divide 4 by 9. Because the result is 0.444 (an odd number), I get 0 points? Is that right? Looked it up here, yet still not grasping it! http://www.astroyogi.com/articles/the-tara-koota-in-kundli-matching.aspx#:~:text=Tara%20Koota%20is%20calculated%20by%20counting%20the%20Nakshatra,The%20maximum%20points%20for%20a% 20category%20is%203. http://astrogurukul.com/web/tara-nakshatras-तारा-नक्षत्र/#:~:text=TARA%20The%20Nakshatra%20occupied%20by%20the%20 Moon%20at,called%20Anujanma%20and%20the%2019th%20is%20called%20Trijanma. Would be grateful for instructions *prayer hands* IP: Logged |

The first link states " The Nakshatra of the man’s Moon is counted from that of the woman’s and divided by nine. The remainder should be 0, 1, 2, 4, 6 or 8, in which case three points are earned."Does that mean the man's Nakshatra should be (places from the woman's Nakshatra) 0, 9, 10 (remainder 1), 11 (remainder 2), 13 (r.4) 15 (r6), 17 (r8), 18 (r0), 19 (r1) and so on? Relatedly, I'm really curious to know if anyone has explored this approach to compatibility using Moon Nakshatras, and how valid others feel it is.I'm using it to analyze my current relationship, and it is looking bleak! It's described as "Wavelength Score" and "Respect / Strii Diirgha" IP: Logged |
