Was Bill Gates and others like him destined for success? Or did he make it due to the choices that he made? Can any One become wealthy and give jobs to many others and help the world be a better place, or are some destined to be employees? ------------------ "The important thing is this: to be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become." I think we can be whatever we want to be. I don't claim to be an expert in money matters, but I am learning. And what more can be asked of a Soul on its journey? ------------------ "The important thing is this: to be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become." I think that we choose to incarnate in places that will give us the best opportunity for the things to happen that we want. If we want money, then we can be born to a rich family, or be really smart in money matters, or just plain have the desire to succeed. IP: Logged |

I think yes, Bill Gates and others with mega-wealth were *destined* to it, but they could have made free will decisions to make it not so as well. Maybe such profound wealth wasn't required to *fully* realize their Soul's (and others'?) mission, but on this level (Gates, et al) I think so.OR they are enjoying a full-on *pleasure trip* this time around? ------------------ "...it came in on the sweetest breeze... i could hear it in color..." ~me IP: Logged |

Personally, if I had the wealth people like Bill Gates has, I would give most of it away... I would never want the worry of protecting it PS But I would have a little villa on a beautiful beach somewhere ------------------ "...it came in on the sweetest breeze... i could hear it in color..." ~me IP: Logged |

Oops! I meant Disneyland, not Disney World. Is there a difference? I've never been to either one. ------------------ "Thus shall ye think of all this fleeting world: A star at dawn, a bubble in a stream; A flash of lightning in a summer cloud, A flickering lamp, a phantom, and a dream." Yes, a big difference ... like the difference between *land* and *world* You aren't so far away from Disney World, you should try to visit ... But if you want to visit the original magic, I'd be Happy ! to be your tour guide - I could meet you in LA, or we could take the short road trip (way fun in my car ) from here! ------------------ "No victims, only volunteers ... but we must heed the tears" ~me IP: Logged |

I don't know, but I'm thinking it's just "bigger" and requires way more walking (and days, I hear Disneyland is the birthplace of the Disney magic and that gives it a measure of specialness for this girl, who was glued to the TV when Mr. Disney would speak on his show...... and I cried when he died ... I thought the magic would die too ~Pincess ------------------ "No victims, only volunteers ... but we must heed the tears" ~me IP: Logged |

Randall! Take some sage advise - when you get a girlfriend keep her that way (even if you do get married) cuz that's how you *fell in Love* ~Princess IP: Logged |

Oh, YIVY... So true! You've made me want one in the worst way! But don't stop there!
