Hi everyone! Speaking of life's work, I was just wondering if you could recommend places that accept singers. A huge part of what I have to do in this lifetime is to sing in order to inspire and uplift people. For those in the more mundane world, I am what you'd call a pop singer, but that's just a disguise and an excuse for uplifting audiences and listeners actually. Thanks a lot! Hope to hear from u! Oh that is so good you know what you want to do! What about singing in a church group or something. That way you could sing and uplift people. What do you think?------------------

Hi! Yes, that is a brilliant idea--singing in a church group. But I also hope to go out into the world where I can reach more people, regardless of religion, denomination, race, etc. :smile: That's why I'm hoping also to get suggestions on places where they're looking for mainstream singers, so that I can uplift a variety of audiences. Do you play the guitar? Why not just do so on the sidewalk or get a friend who does while you sing? That's how the Dixie Chicks got started!  ------------------

How about singing at places like nursing homes? If they don't have a talent day, start one!  ------------------

I've been singing for most of my life and even joined a number of singing competitions as a child, but I only realized a few years back that I really want to do it and that it's part of my purpose in this lifetime.  So I took voice and stage performance lessons and from there began singing professionally at parties, in music lounges, with bands. I dream of recording my own album with the kind of songs that inspire and uplift people (you know, the sort with metaphysical and spiritual lyrics, but in a pop context so many people will still be drawn to the music). I used to song a resorts around the Phoenix area. Usually as entertainment for buisness and holiday parties as people walked in. It was a lot of fun!
