... funny when all things point to the same goal, don't you think? Just a minute left at work, but thought I'd share what the universe has opened up for me. I'm going to massage therapy school, and am also going to study reflexology, polarity therapy and am looking into Reiki. Astrologically speaking, this path will utalize my need for an independent schedule, easily balance my love of silent contemplation and physical touch, and actually earn me some money to buy all my organic food and natural skin products. I K-now there is a lot of info out there on these subjects, and finding the most accurate and reliable is sometimes frustrating, but I have been hooked up with some pretty right on peeps whom seem to understand where I'm coming from. Also as options are more outlets for holistic healing such as stones and meditations... we'll see where we go from here! be with all of you. Ghani IP: Logged |

Awesome Ghani!!! That sounds like something you would be great at! My mom's a massage therapist and loves that she gets to make her own schedule and all the freedom that comes along with her job. Not to mention that she's helping and healing people. It's good money too. What more could you want? Best of luck!! IP: Logged |

YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!You have the guts to follow through on something I pursued inasmuch as going in for an interview to sign up.. writing an entrance exam, *which I scored very high on* etc.. and then the person who interviewed me said I should think of 'cometology and aesthetics', as they also have massage, it is a shorter course and more employment opportunities. I took it as a sign from the Universe at the time, and said.. "Okay" I should havwe followed up on my initial impulse, as it is something I did want to do.... and just telling people I do something with such a reputation for brainless 'just-look-good-' mentality, (even though it isn't) rather than helping and healing in an obvious way, as massage,it takes some credibility away from my tenth house in Taurus ( Aries cusp) Sorry.. "Hello. it's time for a pixie story".. I should announce these things before I go on and on... CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! IP: Logged |

My Chiropractor is wonderful! After becoming disabled from a indusrial accident almost two decades ago, he is the only one that helps me{ besides my wonderful spouse!} All the osteopaths and MDs pumped me so full of steroids, which then caused a rapid weight gain coupled with years of unintentional inactivity, I soon tipped the scales at nearly 400 pounds! The injuries were devastaing enough, but to go from a person who worked out at a Gold's Gym" and was in one of their advertisements, and won many arm wrestling trophies and could squat 500 pounds, etc., I felt so done for! My Weight has dropped and continues to do so. Dr. Mark, my Chiropractor, has helped me so much. It is amazing what the non-drug hands on approach can do! Thank you Mark! PS. He is in to the other alternative ways of healing also.IP: Logged |

Ghanima81, whereabouts in the great state of Maine do you live? Reason I ask is that this fall I'm planning on opening the doors to a specialty library, with resources available for those who study "new age" things like astrology, tarot, color therapy etc. Might be something you'd be interested in. Also, do you read the Maine Well Being newspaper? lots of resources in there, and would be a great place for you to advertise your business, when you're ready to. Good luck in your studies Oh, almost forgot to say, I'm in the Midcoast area. Rita IP: Logged |

Thanks, everyone! I am really excited to have found something that I truly think will make me very happy. With a 'job' like this, I will be able to continue painting and working on all my other creative outlets... which obviously kicks a$$. Rita, Yes, I read that newsletter... something in it is one of the reasons I made the decision to get into school for massage! I live in Alfred, which is about a 45 min drive south from Portland. That is awesome about your book store! I've always kind of wanted to have a shop like that. One that sells books, herbs, stones, handmade clothes and jewelry, and also has a lovely massage room! Someday, methinks... Perhaps we can collaborate! Thanks again ladies... you rock! Oh, and Pix, if it is to be, it will.. Ghani IP: Logged | |
