I've been dying from this illness/disease/or whatever you call boredom for as long as I can remember. It's not that I dont have anything to do. Its quite the opposite. I have too many things I should be doing. I'm just not motivated to do them anymore. I should be sending out my resumes and transcripts now taht I completed school for the third time. But I dont really care to work. I dont think I want to be a highschool teacher anymore. I have a feeling I'm going to have a bad year come September. I'm already working in a school and I'm losing patience, not with the students, but with my higher ups. Most of the staff is great to work with, but there are a few bossy people who think that I am their secretary cuz I'm teachign for free. I'm not even a full time teacher. And I cant stand it when some ppl tell me what to do when they dont even know half of what they are doing or teaching.

Why did I go to teacher's college again? I love all the kids as if they are my own...I do have 5th hs cusp in Leo and Saturn in 5th house/Virgo...although I didnt have the same sentiments when I was a highschool student myself...i hated highschool! I think subconciously this is sort of therapy for me. I never planned on becoming a teacher. I just sporadically made this decision the week before the application deadlines for teachers college last year.

It is such a wonderful and rewarding vocation. Yet the amount of work teachers put into it is insane. And they dont get paid nearly as much as they deserve. Its sooo incredibly ridiculous. Drives me mental!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A part of me loves teaching kids and helping them to reach their potentials...and the challenge of teaching itself. But a big part of me sorta feels empty and sad.... Agghh.

My career/work really really reeealllllyyyyyy affects my sense of self, health and being.

Pluto in Libra, Uranus in Scorp in the 6th hs
Sun, Mars, and Merc conjunct in 10th hs/Aqua (mars, merc conjunct capricorn midheaven)
Saturn conjunct North Node in 5th hs/Virgo

Can anyone see what possible careers I would do best in and enjoy sticking with...I am soo confused and feel like I'm losing my mind!

Quite simply you should do what you feel like, but make sure it is something that people are able to reward you for.
After working through different media I have come to the conclusion that the only thing that I could see myself enjoying would be painting; that would be something that I would do BECAUSE I enjoy it.
We are all individuals and we all have some unique love to bring, even accidently we exhibit these attributes.

Sun in Aquarius = Independance?
Moon Pisces = emotion-emotion
Asc. Gemini = Communication

Independant emotion communication, meditation.

Find a medium which suits you through with which to work, ie. how do you enjoy expressing your talent?

Thank you monad for taking the time to reply to me . I really do appreciate your help.

I have tried to work in the pure sciences, and still take great interest in its theories and inquires. But I cannot stand working in a lab environment under others' directions. My gemini asc esp mekes me too extroverted and impatient for such conditions. On the other hand my pisces moon would rather escape from the public eye and reality...(saturn opposes it, but it does trine my uranus in the 6th house.)

Something with aspects of healing, teaching, meditation, spirituality, creativity, inventiveness and change would be nice...

If you don't mind me asking, what is your sign, and what other sorts have media have you tried before?

I was rereading my post and I may have sounded like a spoiled brat to some people. I shouldnt care what other people think, but I just want to clarify that even though I did go to school three times, I financed all my expenses completely on my own, without my parents help, through measly scholarships, bursaries, work and disgustingly huge loans that I feel I'm going to pay for eternity. My parents after all had 6 kids!! What was my dad thinking, that over-optimistic Sag?

I think I am just going to teach for a year or two, or four. Pay off my loans, and save up some money for a new place, etc. Once I'm more materially stable then I will most likely move onto my next career, which I'm not certain it is at this point. Who knows it may even branch off of teaching. And who knows I may even begin to love teaching and stick with it. I just can't stand the thought of limiting myself to just one career for now.

Need sleep. Will dream about and see what sorta career advice I get

Other mediums- voice, prayer, meditation, thought, action, writing, music, conversation, discussion.
Im just beggining to paint as I said and I couldnt think of a more enjoyable job, but its not inconcievable that I may find paint in fact is not my preffered media and may find that to get this idea out might be best expressed this way.
If u dont like it quit.

I think your offering should be judged on how much you enjoyed yourself/what difference u made.

hmmmm....

such a simple yet potent statment.
I'm afraid to quit.

thank you monad

Well.....today, at least, I loved teaching. LOVED IT! I do love guiding kids, even though they can be brats and tell you they hate you, and hate school, they really do need someone for them to listen to...they need an example, a role model. I love opening up kids minds to things they wouldn’t have thought of and I love challenging them. I’ll see how long this takes me. I know I’ll be teaching for a bit. But I also know that I will branch off to use my gifts in other fields as well.

I had written entire post Anyways Never mind....It's bit of it.

Day Dreamer : I just learned few days back about MC and connection with careers. I am aso glad I came to know that.

Here goes for you..

Capricorn Midheaven: Very ambitious for status, rather than necessarily for money. Quintessential self-made businessman. Typical career routes include self employment, politics, estate agency, farming, orthopaedics, homeopathy, engineering, exploration industry, dentistry, sculpting, civil service, stock broking.

Because of your very important sixth house influences, plus Cappy midheaven and Virgo Saturn,(not to mention Pisces Moon) I do understand that you gain great emotional extremes from the thing you do for a living..
It is more to you than simply a job, it is service, it is emotional...
I can se you getting very jaded with the demands of higher ups and hard to please kids.. but here's the thing.
At the end of the day it will pi$$ you off.. all these things.. yet at the same time, you are molding these people and showing them the best kind of people they can be, and it is so important for you, that it will overwhelm the crap parts, when you really peel it away.
I sincerely think so. You will do it becuse you will make a difference, and for no other reason. But you have to make your mark.. do it in a creative way, be unique. (sixth house Uranus... 'Okay, I'll do this for you, but MY way')
And like you said.. you can always quit if it doesn't work for you, you have proved your adaptability ( and no you did not sound spoiled in the least)

Thanks Freebird for the description of Cap Midheaven.

Pixelpixie, you are dead on. I hope I can see any impact I make on those kids...even when things get down for me. You're right, I would love to use my sixth house planets, like Uranus and do things in a new and creative way. But Ive got some heavy Saturn transits coming up, that will oppose all my 10th house planets, and conjunct my 4th house Jupiter. Sooo I doubt my new approaches will work and be considered. I'll try and see, but if I notice things end up frustrating me, I'll have to go along and do as Im supposed to. I just hope my health and mind can take it.

Hi there.im an Aquarian too and am very confused as far as my career goes..
i was thinking about teaching, because i love to study and what more better way than to never leave school??
One of my dreams is to write novels..
Whats your dream??maybe now is the time to ask yourself what you realy want.i read this horoscope book a couple of months ago for Aquarians and it said that you ll decide about yuor career by October..even the daily forecast readings in the newspapers tell me that i just have to be patient for a while and then everything will come flashing to me. well....i hope so!!!
i really feel that whatever you do you should really love what you're doing, make a differnce in the world and once you put your heart and soul into everything, people, god and you yourself take notice of your abilities..
no one likes to do a thankless job.even a compliment brings a glow to our faces..hmm??

Oh I didnt expect this to pop up!

Freebird ...I dont entirely feel comfortable putting my photo up on LL. Although I have put my pics up before on another site. Maybe one day...after you and others get to know who me is without the pic.

Pink Angel...I remember you and that you're an Aquarian! How are you doing? Teaching is definitely for those who love to learn and want to continue to do so! I think Im starting to realize I was born to be a teacher, a communicator and to be out in the public..regardless of how much I enjoy my time alone and being introverted.

Well I cant wait for October now...I hope we both figure out what our career paths will be by then. Good luck to you, and let me know if you decide to go into teaching

DayDreamer,
Hello, I know I'm jumping in late, but as I was reading through, I had some flashes, yes you will be teaching, and then, I saw you becoming a Guidance Counselor, with your knowlegde, you will really help alot of children, you will even go after something else after that, you just keep evolving, it's beautiful, and you will make a difference.

Love and Light

DayDreamer,
Sometimes I connect with a person's energy, it happens naturally, your studies with students and your spirituality will evolve into one, thus the guidance counselor who knows the ancient codes of the universe, and then, well that's a surprise for later, have no worries, you're a beautiful soul, trying very hard, karmic stars, for your crown, Smile.

Love and Light

Ive been thinking about med school...scheming how I could pull this off...wishing I applied earlier. Whats holding me back are the loans (owing ppl makes me sick), and the amount of time med school takes. I dont mind that much that Id have to be in school for at least 6 more years...problem is how I'll have a relationship and start a family before Im 35!! I would love to be a doctor and wanted to be one since I was a kid. Teaching can be fun and its a tough and respectable job but it wasnt my first choice...circumstances led me to it...Maybe I should stick to it? But I have this feeling of regret that keeps popping up.
