HI Y'all! I need help on what career direction to go into. I graduated five years ago and am 26 years old and still having a hard time determining what career to have. I have Neptune in 10th, so I think it adds to the confusion. I also have a lot of pressure from my parents to get a job that is stable, which means they would want me to go into business. Right now, I am looking into INternational business doing importing/exporting in retail industry of bags, clothes, and jewelry. INside I really wanted to become a fashion designer, or design bags and jewlery. Or an design for that matter. But I am scared about being poor and not being able to support myself. I do care about having the comforts of life. I also was interested in becoming a writer, but that phased out. Most of the time these interest in careers phase out, because I am afraid I don't have enough creativity to carry them off. So I end up just trying to get into business. I want to go back to grad school. But I look at all the courses for business and it looks really boring. Then I look at design stuff and it looks really fun. I don't know. Can someone please look at my chart and give me a clue as to where I should be heading career-wise. I am getting so old! I have to hurry and work on one thing. I feel like I have no skills at this point. Currently I am teaching English in Japan, but I know I don't want to be a teacher. Unless, it is at a University level. My birthday is 8/18/1978 in Kaohiung, Taiwan. around 7pm. I need help because I don't know if I am going through one of my flights of fancy or is it really my inner self telling me something.
Thanks! spicyleo IP: Logged |

You're still young. The answer will hit you at the right time. ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." Whatever you do for living, it should delite you. Never settle for just a job. Be true to yourself. Why would you take the boring, when you can choose the fun? We are supposed to be happy....follow your bliss and will fulfill your life's mission.Blessings, Linda IP: Logged |

Thanks for your advice on the situation. I was hoping for a clearer direction by a look at my astrological chart. If anyone has some insight to my cloudiness, please share. I have: Sun in 6th Leo Mercury in 6th Leo (conjuct Sun) Saturn conjuct Sun in 6th (Virgo) Neptune in Saggitarius in 10th Mars in 7th (Libra) Venus in 7th conjuct Mars and Pluto Pluto in 8th (Libra) conjuct Mars and Venus Moon in 12th (Aquarius) Chiron in 2nd (Taurus) North moon node in Virgo in 7th house I read that the north moon node is a good indicator of the kind of career one should get into. With my south node in Pisce, I do notice from an early age, that I was very dreamy and I was more of a retiring nature. Not wanting to go out, and try new things, and have self-initiative. As I grow older, I have more of a desire to go out and try to accomplish something of my own. Reaching out to my north moon node. I am pretty disorganized, and do need to make efforts to be organized. btw, what happened to horoschopechats on msn groups. They used to have a great site with tons of information on planets in signs/houses, and aspects. It looks like it has been moved. If anyone knows about it, please let me know! cheers, spicyleo IP: Logged |

What are the "dominant" and "subdominant"?Randall... I liked what you said about spicyleo being young still. I've been pondering the career thing heavily myself lately and I'm only two years older. I'll assume then that I'm still young, too! IP: Logged |

Oh! Today, in school, we went on a website ...eh...test, called Myer-Briggs test, and it talks a bit about what kind of job you should have. Just go on google, and type in "Myer-Brig (gs?)" and you'll get it. It's fun too! I'm an...eh...ENFP...extrovert, intuitive, feeling, perceive...or soemthing like thatIP: Logged |

My MC has these aspects:Sun Trine Midheaven Mercury Trine Midheaven Saturn Trine Midheaven Moon Sextile Midheaven What is a dominant ? subdominant? Currently I am trying for Cultural Anthropology and Development, doing some sort of non-proft development with 3rd world countries. It's interesting so far, and I am pretty passionate about it. I have interest in the arts as well, and will probably try to get into that when I am more established with this international career. IP: Logged |

Hi, Spicy!I am no expert on astrology, but I do know a little. With the stellium in your 7th, you will probably do best in business w/ a partner. I will assume you have Capricorn in your 10th house. I can't think of a better placement for business. Cappy is known to be a slow starter and a late bloomer. You may not make a splash until later in life, but thats no reason you should not pursue your passion for design now. Maybe designing, manufacturing, export of your creations will be the end result. Do what you love! Don't be afraid of not having enough. I'm a firm believer that when you pursue your passion and your heart's desire (that excitement you feel when looking over design classes), the universe responds in a most generous way. You will be taken care of. Also, with Jupiter as the natural ruler of the 10th, you should definitely keep a more open, positive outlook. Jupiter is often like an angel's kiss for your career. Always Seeking...poetsdream7

My MC is in Sagittarius, so it's ruled by that. But the majority of the house falls in capricorn. I don't know how to read that. so possibly my career is ruled by a mixture of both sagittarius and capricorn?I decided to go back to graduate school for Cultural Anthropology. I wanted to work in an international field. I really enjoy travelling and learning about different cultures. I also feel that I am better suited towards academia. I recently started a part time job at a startup company. I am begginning to think that I am not good with working in the corporate world. I am 27, but still always doing low-end stuff, like assistance positions, clerical stuff. I've been doing this for the past four years, and there is hardly any upward movement. Hence, I decided to apply to graduate school. It just frustrates me, because I know that I can do more, but I never have the chance to. I have saturn in my 6th house, conjuct with my sun and mercury. I think this probably explains why my work space is less than spectuacular. I think the saturn makes my career path less prone to success. either that, or it's slow. plus I make really low income comparable to the average 27 year old here. My work is not a place where I shine, and I find myself questioning my intelligence. I know Saturn conjuct sun is supposed to make one slow, but it's just hard to believe that of oneself. (Can a not-so-intelligent person know of their own condition?) Sorry for the blue posting, but I'm just down with my work situation that seems to never improve or take off. I always think that it's because I'm not in an environment that allows me to shine. but with all of my recent experience, could it be possible that my work space is just afflicted with saturn? On the other hand, I really would enjoy Cultural Anthropology. Don't know if I would be good at it, but I just know that it's very interesting to me. I notice of myself, that I like to concentrate and do things on my own. Possibly moon in 12th house influence? IP: Logged |
