In Linda's Star Signs, she advises that to encourage the flow of money in our lives, after paying for our necessary expenses, we should spend half of what is left. She also says that saving for a rainy day only encourages that which we try to give ourselves protection from. I can see how this would make sense. Especially since it is clearly the way the world functions is that we receive back what we give out. Energy circulates. What are your thoughts on this? And has anyone tried her advice? If so, do you feel it has worked for you? IP: Logged |

I know a lot of people that tithe or give to their church. They say that when they do this their financial situation is better even though they give ten percent of their income. Have you read "the richest man in Babylon" I have read it the author suggests we invest ten percent of our income (that would send the message to the universe that you want to increase your wealth and the money would be circulating, not being saved for a rainy day, and also invest in ethical companies). I have not tried any of these things but people say they work. CathyIP: Logged |

I had an experience which bears out Linda's advice.Last year, i was in Plymouth. In a dark alleyway, I encoutered a local tramp. He asled me for a pound so he could 'feed his little children'. Okay, i'm no sucker - i knew it would probably go on beer or cigarettes, but i was in a hurry and decided to give him something to shut him up. Then he started 'haggling' for more. "Could you spare four pounds?" he asked. So i gave him four pounds, after which he wanted ten. "Sorry, that's all i can spare", i said, and went on my merry little way. Next morning i'd forgotten about the tramp. In the city centre, outside a small shop, i looked down. There in front of me was a five pound note! Nobody was around who could have just dropped it, so i accepted it as a gift from the Universe! And even odder: last weekend, i was walking through the town where i live now in the ealy hours and found sixty pounds! I'm not sure what i've done to deserve that, but once i know the money's mine (ie nobody has been mugged there!) i'll give at least ten to charity. So yes, it does seem to work. The money will return to you multiplied. Try it out with a small amount and see. Good luck :-) IP: Logged |
