I just got my first semester grades, and nope, I have not done nearly as well as I hoped. I want to curl up in a corner and cry. I hate law school

alchemist, i remember you from a while ago we conversed here. No No No..... please don't let this make you give up on any level. Its good you got it out so the emotion won't eat you up. You can find what you need to do to make it better for next semester. Hang in there please for all of us who did not even get such opportunity. PLEASSSEEEEE.

Thanks for the encouragement, thirteen. I remember you from here too- hope you are doing well!
I have gotton the negativity out of my system now. Objectively speaking, I am above the average, but not by much... and certainly not where I want to be. For the first time in my life, academically speaking, I have failed to reach my goal. I know this is what they warn about in the first semester of law school, but it has come as a shock nonetheless. I know what I need to do to fix it, so I am definitely going to be working on that this semester. I hope that will be enough. This is what I want to do, and I'm not giving up now.

Thanks guys.
I want to focus on international environmental law as my main area of concentration. The semester so far is pretty good. Of course, all we have as feedback are the finals at the end (no other exams or tests), so I'm going to have to keep focused, but this semester seems quite nice so far =)
