Thanks Tuxedo meow. Course is going well, I've started now!! It's been very interesting, particularly since it has been exceedingly hot (Australia) and we have no air con, so sleep has been hard to come by (actaully slept outside on a camping matress!!!)hehe... IP: Logged |

Hi Nephthys, art therapy is using drawing/dance/music/writing as a form of therapy to help people. It is often used in conjuction with main stream counselling. It's particularly good for young children, who can't communicate in words what's happening, but it is becoming much more wide spread in Australia. It focuses on the use of expression - movement, song, sound, colour to help heal. I know a few hospitals use it here.I'm not aware if it is well spread in the USA. Its a complamentary program IP: Logged |

Glad all is going well-art and music therapy are so useful. My therapist used music and tone therapy to good success. When you wrote about sleeping outdoors on a camp cot! At one time we did that in this area of Texas because of the heat-alas-RICHTRICHIDIOTS moved onto the area with all their stuff and put in halogen lighting everywhere to guard it and it became like sleeping outside a convenience store or something. They took the stars away for sure.LOL! Also, thinking there are different stars to be seen where you are...do you see the Southern Cross?IP: Logged |

How did the Course go?------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll IP: Logged |
