Ace Young - we should only be so lucky!!!!! The funny thing is, since he was 13 months old and I first put him in daycare and they started commenting on how musical he was, the running joke was that he'd be an American Idol -- so your words are cracking me up tonight, Randall!IP: Logged |

Thanks, LD. No, hardly. Most of his looks are from his father, but he's got my cheeks and my appetite. He is, however, a sweet boy and is now explaining to me how to make silly putty, at the age of almost 4. I could bite him!

Randall - don't know what brought on that bump, but hey, I'm not complaining. The little guy is peacefully napping now after spending some hours at the mall, gorging on soft pretzels and playing with every toy in sight. He saw a light blue bath towel at J.C. Penney's and made me stop to inspect it, declaring that it should be his new bath towel for the new place (a new apartment to which we're moving in about two months). He amazes me. What other almost 4 year old would stop to pick out a bath towel? Then in the handbag department he stopped at the blue and red patent leather bags and started commenting on how beautiful they are and how I should get one. The women standing nearby were chuckling. So was I. Ah, children, one of life's pleasures!IP: Logged |

Take his word for it, Juggie, buy the blue and the red bag! It may be the perfect thing to cheer you up on a "rainy day" when you least expect it!

LD, I appreciate the thought, and if things were different around me, I might have just bought one of those bags. But now I feel like I have enough material possessions. I really do. That's why I resist. It makes me feel guilty to have more than two handbags when I have neighbors who have lost jobs to downsizing and don't know how they're going to make their rent, you know? Just my state of mind these days. I know so many people who have lost jobs. Even my bosses announced to everyone, across the board, that they decided on no raises for any employees, because they're worried. And I am in a supposedly recession proof industry (personal injury law). My last psychic reading left me very anxious about what is coming for this country economically, not that I needed to have a psychic tell me... I see the writing on the wall... but she really drove home the point. I am in a very sobered up mood consequently. They say the unemployment hotline in NY crashed the other day because of so many calls to it.IP: Logged |

So funny, Randall, that you just recently re-awakened this post. I was just running to the computer to update it. The synchronicity is nothing short of amazing!!!!Anyhoo, the little guy is now 5 years old. He is home from preschool, watching Jim Carrey's "Mask". And what he just said made me fall off my chair: 1) Cameron Diaz is so pretty, I bet she smells good. 2) Her boobies are gaw-geous, Mommy! IP: Logged |
