but I don't feel happy. I should feel overjoyed but I don't. At this point, I wonder whether this is a means to an end. This uneasiness is quite unsettling...

Maybe you are still in the settling in adjustment phase.
Was it a big change and/or caused many changes in your life schedule?
Give it time and relax when you can.

The job is more of a lateral move... I was expecting growth I guess?

Perhaps there are other reasons to be there. Give it some time.

I really want to give this a chance but I've been so unmotivated. I want to do well.

I read somewhere, that it takes two months to get fully intergrated into a new job or situation. It's alot of "newness" coming in from different directions. Bosses, co-workers, policies, expectations, etc. Just try to take it day by day, and find something positive to bring home with you each day, maybe your confidence will grow from there.
