Hey everyone.Rant alert 
Ok so here's the deal, I've always had to work really hard for everything I've achieved. Haven't been one of those lucky ones with the Midas touch or born with a silver spoon. Nonetheless, i try to maintain an attitude of gratitude thinking that things could always be worse & my wants are met too alongside needs so the occassional frustrations aren't much to put up with.
Sometimes though, it gets really hard when life seems to throw repeated knocks. For example, I got my first job in this great company (as a temporary replacement) after 8 months of being jobless. They tried to make me permanent but it didn't work out.
This last job, i worked for almost 5 years, in various capacities & put up with a lot of crap coz at one point, the pay was good. Now that they're going bankrupt & incurring losses in millions, they're terminating staff, me included.
What bothers me is that i've been looking for something for a while now & nothing seems to be clicking. The irony is that most people would love to hire me (they say so in the course of our interactions work related), i get called for interviews, do really well etc but in - no kidding - so many instances, the position just get frozen or recruitment in general so it just doesnt pan out. The most recent thing being, that the person i'd been looking to work alongside, has thrown in his resignation where he works.
Sometimes it gets to me coz its like i put in all my dues you know, i work really hard, am proactive, am intelligent, most of my bosses describe me as one of the best people they've worked etc but rather than go up the career ladder, i seem to stagnate or lateral & sometimes even come downward.
Can anyone help with any insights? If it'll help, i was born on 26 June 1981 in Mumbai but currently reside in Kuwait. My mother doesn't remember the exact time but it was between 11 - noon.
