Being a doula for our ferel cat.My daughter was able to domesticate this little ferel enough so she could hold her, pet her, etc. Then, knowing she was going to give birth, I made a bed in the garage for her, but she was still so unhappy, pacing, meowing, etc. SO, I brought her in yesterday, gave her free reign and choice of my bedroom and when I came home early from a failed evening, there she was, birthing. It is such a blessing to be part of birth, nomatter what species is birthing, and I am always very proud to be part of my patients death. Spend a cold rainy, eveing, alone, with a fire in the fireplace, midwifing the kittens. No place else I'd rather be  ps the best birthday present on the eve of my big 50~ IP: Logged |

From 12'oclock on~Cochice (named after Little Joe, of Bonanza's painted horse)..he is adventurous, loves to be pet Zoe a beautiful white Calico...she is so lovey, last to be born, first to open eyes..and such a little flirt! Moxy, my baby...first born, last to open eyes, his father is a Main Coone. My kid says he is the runt, but nothing stops him, he has beautiful markings... And last, Penne...she is another beauty girl...loving and sweet. She plays with her bros and sisters and looks us right in the eyes!!! LOVE my kitties!!! IP: Logged |
